Craig Levein Next Scotland Manager Betting Odds Fall As Appointment Draws Closer
Thursday 19 November 2009 at 11:15
Craig Levein’s Next Scotland Manager Betting Odds have shortened over the past 24 hours after Walter Smith privately all but ruled himself out of the running. It had looked between the pair and now Craig Levein could be appointed very soon.
Craig Levein Looking More And More Likely To Get The Job
Craig Levein can now be backed at best odds of 9/4 with Blue Square despite being as short as 6/4 with VC Bet, who must pretty much think the job is his if he wants it. Walter Smith is rumoured to have privately ruled himself out of the running and as a result his odds have drifted, he is now out to 11/2 with Totesport, that puts him just ahead of John Collins who has been well backed from an initial price 16/1 down to 6/1 with Coral.
Darren Ferguson More Likely Appointment Than Sir Alex
There are a few veteran managers who could still take the job, Joe Kinnear is 16/1 with SkyBet, Graeme Souness is 33/1 with VC Bet and Sir Alex Ferguson is 66/1 with Blue Square. You don’t get many Next Manager markets where a father and son are both quoted but interestingly you can also back Darren Ferguson to be Next Scotland Manager at 16/1 with VC Bet.
