Betfair Free Bet Terms
MATCHED BET PROMOTION FOR NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY.
These Terms & Conditions apply to all Betfair promotions, competitions and events. In the event of any discrepancy or conflict between the standard terms and any specific terms relating to a particular promotion, competition, tournament or event then the specific terms shall prevail.
Specific Terms: Matched Bet promotion for new Betfair customers only.
1. Enter the promotion code detailed when joining Betfair and we\'ll credit the free bet amount to your account after you\'ve had at least the value of the free bet amount matched*.
2. If you are eligible, in order to obtain the free bet incentive you must have matched bets with a total value of equal to or more than the free bet offer. Voided bets will not be counted towards your total value.
3. Exchange rates are determined at the sole discretion of Betfair and for the purposes of this promotion the matched amount is £50.
4. Monies waged in other Betfair products do not count for the purpose of this promotion. Only matched bets played on the Sports Exchange qualify, this does not include Multiples.
5. Betfair will use reasonable endeavours to credit your account with the free bet within 24 hours of settling the full free bet amount on the market where you have placed enough matched bets to meet the qualifying requirement.
6. All qualifying bets must be placed within 21 days from the date of registration in order to qualify for the free bet.

*\'Matched\' means offered and accepted on a market of the www.betfair.com website and refers to the stake of a back bet or the liability of a lay bet.
Standard Terms
1. You must be aged 18 years or over to bet, participate in promotions, and/or take part in competitions. Underage entries will be void.

9. You hereby assign any and all copyright or other intellectual property rights in your entry to Betfair for Betfair\'s unrestricted usage and agree to do all such acts and/or execute or procure the execution of all such documents in a form reasonably satisfactory to Betfair to confirm Betfair\'s full ownership of such rights.
10. Betfair in its sole discretion reserves the right to withdraw or vary the terms of competitions and promotions and/or any offer made in connection with them in order to comply with the decision of any relevant judicial or regulatory body and shall not be held liable to any entrant for so doing.

15. Betfair accepts no responsibility whatsoever for system or connection problems that might affect any end user during any of these promotions.
16. Betfair and its affiliates and subsidiaries, or any of their employees, officers or directors shall not be liable for any damages howsoever arising as a result of a participant\'s or winner\'s participation in an event or any such modification, alteration, discontinuance or termination of any tournament, and any such liability shall be borne solely and exclusively by the participant or winner, as the case may be.

I was an old school punter until a few years ago but I finally decided to open up a Betfair account to have a look and it was by far the best move I ever made. Not only were the profits from regular backing far better but the option to trade pre-event or in-play was available to me aswell as the whole new world of laying which is now responsible for the majority of my income even though I had never heard of laying a few years back. Bottom line - whether you are a serious, casual or even a couple of times a year punter you need to get yourself a Betfair account. They are the best by a country mile in my opinion and until you open one up you are constantly losing potential profits.

Do Not Bet without Betfair
It amazes me whow many people do not have a betfair account. Get real folks it is the 21st Century. Much better prices and much better bet options (lay and back). Their forum is a bit of a cesspit and reminds us how bad the OLBG forum could be without effective policing. But anyone betting without Betfair in their armoury is not betting seriously.

cracking idea where you pit your wits against the other betters - there's nearly always someone prepared to match your bet either way which is very handy indeed - better odds too and the whole aspect of trading is a godsend as you can sensibly settle for less but more often - huge difference to the whole world of betting - only downside being the time delays and suspended markets - there is an obvious advantage for the lucky few but there are still plenty of opportunities to make a nice return using a bit of common sense and some knowledge
