Ranked in the top 20 in the world, I rate this player very highly.
He had a shocker at Wimbledon but i think he can leave the tournament in good confidence having done very well in the doubles.
The US Open is in his country and i think most Americans will raise their game for it.

Murray is very much a hardcourt player and calls the US Open his favourite tournament. His run at Wimbledon (whatever the result) show that he has the capability and the current form, and was a finalist in this tournament last year.
