Tottenham V Blackburn
(13/03 12:45) Tottenham v Blackburn : Blackburn 1 Win @ 2.20 Premiership |
i fully expect Big Sam to come n park the bus at white hart lane as Blackburn edge towards confirming their survival in the BPL for another season.
Bburn has an away record of 1w-3d-10l, gs9, ga33; this somewhat confirms the negative approach taken by them when playing away. only 9 goals scored in 14 played shows which half they camp in for most of the game.
Previous h2h here ended 1-1, 1-2, 1-1, 3-2, 0-0. In the last 5 h2h here, Spurs have not managed to beat Bburn by >1 goal.
i will take Bburn n hope they do not suddenly become overly gung ho in this early game. |

Burnley V West Ham
(06/02 15:00) Burnley v West Ham : West Ham Win @ 2.04 Premiership |
This one is tricky. Burnley are in 19th spot while West Ham are in 15th, but only 1 point seperate these 2 teams. ur typical relegation 6-pointer.
It's no secret that Burnley are riding on home form to see them survive the drop. All 5 wins recorded by them have come at home. Burnley home form is 5w-4d-2l.
West Ham, on the other hand, have won only once on the road. their away form is 1w-5d-6l.
It's a must win game both teams particularly for the home side. So, how did mr bookie come up with an AH of 0, or level ball, when it is all too obvious that Burnley hold the advantage of home ground? come on, the Hammers have only managed 1 win in 12 tries and their recent form is nothing to shout about.
make ur pick on which team will most likely survive the drop...i believe the Hammers have a higher chance of that. |

NO Saints Vs IND Colts
(07/02 23:25) NO Saints vs IND Colts : NO Saints +4.5 Win @ 1.95 NFL |
This one is easy.
1) i always go for the underdog in a final, n the superbowl is the biggest stage for NFL.
2) always trust the president! Obama has said that he will be supporting the underdogs for this one after their suffering and slow recovery from a natural disaster. The ppl need a big cheer...
3) i liked the attacking style of the Colts all these years but they always manage to choke on the big occassions. There might be some nerves if the Saints keep this to a 1 score game right to the end.
It appears i'm not the only one who thinks the Saints have a chance cos the line for this one has dropped from Colts the initial -5.5 to -4.5 currently. |

Liverpool V Everton
(06/02 12:45) Liverpool v Everton : Liverpool Win @ 1.90 Premiership |
This is an early game, so i expect the bets to be very concentrated on 1 team. With recent form both on the pitch and on the AH, the obvious choice will be Everton as they get a half ball head-start, i.e. Everton bet wins even if they draw this derby game.
There appears to be a high chance of a draw in this one as Everton are now hard to beat with the return of some key players like Cahill. Moreover, they have managed to hold out for a draw in 3 of the last 4 times they met at Anfield. Last 4 h2h here ended 1-1, 1-1, 1-0, 0-0.
However, i believe Lpool will be on a winnning run to keep pace with Man City and Spurs in the race for 4th place. Many punters will have had their hands burned by Lpool this season and will not trust them anymore. Good, as this would mean Lpool will not be too "heavy" for this one. |

Ukraine V Greece
(18/11 18:00) Ukraine v Greece : Ukraine Win @ 1.85 World Cup Qualifiers |
will side with the home side for this one mainly due to the emotional factor; the H1N1 flu has hit Ukraine hard n the ppl will need a much needed pick-me-up in the form of qualification for the World Cup.
However, i'm wary that Greece will approach this one with a defence 1st attitude. They played with a 5-man defence in front of their own supporters n i expect nothing less than that today.
Ukraine look the more likely team to qualify and i'm betting that they do it in 90 mins. |

New Zealand V Bahrain
(14/11 07:00) New Zealand v Bahrain : Bahrain Win @ 1.88 World Cup Qualifiers |
hopes are high for the All Whites after they managed to hold Bahrain to a 0-0 draw in the 1st leg, however, i believe the pressure of qualifying for the World Cup in many many years will be too much for the home players n it will be heartbreak again in front of their home supporters.
Actually, there is a difference in class between these 2 teams n it would be an upset if Bahrain were to be knocked out. This is akin to a Premier League team and League 1 team clash.
On a draw no bet i would take the supposedly better team, Bahrain, to get it done in 90 mins. |

Wigan V Fulham
(08/11 15:00) Wigan v Fulham : Wigan -0.25 Win @ 2.04 Premiership |
This one is difficult to call; Wigan in 12 the place and Fulham in 11th.
Previous h2h here ended 0-0, 1-1, 0-0, 1-0, 2-0. The end result looks like a Wigan win or draw again.
On the AH, i would always play on the percentages. Since Fulham have not won here in the last 5, chances are they won't win this one. Thus, with the AH of +0/0.5, the highest return i can expect is only a half win.
i would rather take Wigan to risk half in the event of a draw and win full if they get a home win. |

West Ham V Everton
(08/11 15:00) West Ham v Everton : Everton Win @ 2.10 Premiership |
i still do not trust West Ham even though they recorded a win in their last outing.
Everton are woeful in their away games losing 3 out of 4. However, i would think they have more quality to turn their form around than the Hammers.
Previous h2h here also gives me some confidence in taking Everton for this one; 1-3, 0-2, 1-2, 1-0, 2-2. Everton winning 3 out of their last 5 encounters here including the last 3 times they visited here.
Looks very enticing with a draw-no-bet on Everton plus winning more in the process. |

Arsenal V Tottenham
(31/10 12:45) Arsenal v Tottenham : Arsenal -1 Win @ 1.91 Premiership |
The AH line for this game started at Ars AH -0.5/1 which is reasonable considering this is a derby game. This has subsequently gone to AH -1 currently.
For me, Spurs are still a team in the making while Arsenal this season look more like a near-finish product. Spurs are still Big 4 wannabees while the Gunners have consistently been there at the end of the season.
The midweek cup game would also more likely affect Spurs compared to Arsenal as the Gunners put in youngsters to face Liverpool...Spurs players will feel the effect towards the last quarter of this game.
There will be many Spurs supporters for this one as the AH is on the high side, ie favourable to those taking ball. This being the early game will also see bets being more concentrated on 1 team, making them too hot to come in.
The Gunners shld still be ahead of Spurs after this game. |

Arsenal V Celtic
(26/08 19:45) Arsenal v Celtic : Celtic 1.25 Win @ 1.98 Champ League Qual |
not one to bet your house on...
Arsenal already have a 2 away goal advantage and 1 more Arsenal goal will mean Celtic have to score 4x to go thru...not likely.
Not that i'm saying that Arsenal will,...but this is a game where Arsenal can lose by 1 goal and still qualify for the next round.
Just do not see Arsenal going all out for this one when they have a trip to Old Trafford coming up in a few days time...
i'll take Celtic and hope Arsenal take their foot off the pedal. |
