Euro 2008 Matches

Germany have a stronger side than Poland, and should be able to win their first group game tonight.

Germany, tournament favourites for many need to get off to a flyer and they may well do.

Poland have their goalkeeper and another main first team player out of the game, whilst Germany have so many options no one is sure what team they will field. Any number of attacking players could make the frame, and ultimately give the Poles a bashing.

A maximum football bet in my opinion, enjoy the game.

It is not always the way that the winner gets the fastest lap, but it is often the case and from this I will take a chance that Lewis can put in a good time on his way to a back to back win in Canada.

Portugal probably have the best squad here, Turkey and the Czech Republic must be respected and Switzerland the hosts cant be written off easily. But trying to find a group winner for a given group is not easy as often the groups are wide open. However on this occasion, Portugal look likely winners and my hard earned will go down here.

Their squad if keeping their heads can do this and progress well in the competition. Italy and Germany also have a good chance of winning the competition and 9/1 about an Italy Germany final is tasty as is the bigger price of 14/1 for Holland to progress.

Even in a friendly like this one Belarus should be overpowered.

For this first tip of the month I will er on the side of caution and cover the double results for safety.

You have to expect Arsenal to come out all guns blazing.

Betting at this time of the season is always with risk, but EVerton have been on holiday ever since they got beaten out of the UEFA Cup.

Evertton may as well stay on the beach, because Arsenal are very good at home and have a good record against them

I suggest a strong home win at decent enough odds.

A hard job given that there are 20 other horses in the race, but Bankable is one that the stable really fancy.

Frankie takes the ride and should be able to push the horse over the line.

An 8lb rise is not too much if the horse has improved as I expect it has over the winter. Two wins from its last two starts, lets try and make it three out of three.

Under 2.5 looks the percentage call here with Liverpool unlikely to score, as they havent previously at the Bridge under Rafa.

Chelsea can get one or two if needed and Unders looks to be the value and in with a real chance here.

Jamie Spencer takes the ride on this favourite, and he does not get out of bed for nothing.

If Gold Prospect can improve slightly, which should be within his capabilities then he can bolt home followed by Princess Cocoa at a price.

Gold Prospect is a course and distance winner and could well make it two on the bounce to land the nightcap at Wolverhampton.

Cardiff unbeaten in ten, Scunthorpe relegated. Cardiff unbeaten against todays hosts in 12 meetings between the two sides.

I cant see Scunthorpe providing any sort of winning resistance and this 1/3 on offer is better than you would get at the bank.
