Hi,
I'm pleased to be involved with OLBG where you will be able to see my tips over the coming months.
I've been presenting and commentating racing on television for over 30 years. My career began in local radio at the age of 18, and two years later I was based in London working for BBC Radio Sport. My first break in television came at the age of 23, when I presented the Sports Today program on Thames TV. In 1985, I joined as a presenter for Channel Four Racing, where I've been ever since. When I'm not working for Channel Four, I continue to attend race meetings across the country as a Commentator & Presenter.
I currently live in Newmarket - the home of the throughbred. There are over 2,000 horses stabled here with sixty trainers. Every year over 1,000 winners are trained here in Racing's HQ, and whilst I can't guarantee to tip you them all, I give you my word that I will endeavour to tip as many as I can!
Racing is a great sport and on the 250 miles of gallops we have here, I regularly see the Strings of the top stables including Sir Michael Stoute and Saeed bin Suroor. It's a wonderful sight to see the top jockeys in action as the sun begins to rise.
I've recently signed up the top Work-Watcher at Newmarket to ensure you get even better information direct from the Gallops!
