Leicester have recorded eight 1-0 wins so far this season and at 6/1 I think they are a decent bet to make it nine this afternoon as they host Coventry City. The visitors have been in cracking form the last few weeks but they had to come from behind to only draw at home to lowly Plymouth last weekend and midweek they threw away an early lead to eventually lose at home to fellow playoff chasers Cardiff after a debatable Peter Whittingham penalty deep into injury time. Those two results will have really hurt the Sky Blues and a visit to in form Leicester is not ideal. The Foxes are currently fifth in the league but have two games in hand so are looking to secure their playoff spot over the next few weeks and also try to grab that top seed spot by finishing 3rd. They have won four of their last five games with three of those wins by a 1-0 scoreline and as mentioned already they have won 1-0 eight times in total already this season. They are on a nine match unbeaten run at home and have conceded just four goals in that spell so there is a good chance they will keep Coventry scoreless here at the Walkers Stadium this afternoon and I reckon they will once again do just enough to pick up the important three points. Thought this would be around 9/2 so happy to take the 6/1 for it.

The Pacers have won four straight at home but three of those wins came against teams with losing records and the other side, the Bobcats, are very much borderline currently at 35-34. Those wins are their only ones aswell in a fourteen game stretch as they have gone 4-10 and are just 5-14 aswell since early February. The Thunder meanwhile are coming off a 26pts win in Toronto which guaranteed them their first winning season in five years already and a run of 18-4 in their last 22 games has played a big part in that obviously. Their confidence is sky high right now being led by the hugely talented Kevin Durant. Durant has averaged 29.7pts a game this season sitting only second in the league behind LeBron James who is at 29.9pts. Durant scored 40 against the Pacers when the Thunder beat them by 6pts in Oklahoma earlier in the season and he averages 32.8pts in five career games against Indiana so far. They are not just a one man team though as Jeff Green, Kristic, Collison, Sefolosha etc have all been very solid again this season but also rookie Russell Westbrook has been hugely impressive for them. The Thunder are a much better team than the Pacers this year and I reckon they can grind out a win in the second half in Indiana this evening - also they have the ability to and so hopefully they will cover this spread aswell.

(21/03 21:00) Andy Roddick vs Ivan Ljubicic : Andy Roddick to win 2 - 0 Win @ 1.90

These two havent met for three years but Roddick has won the last two games between them and from ten meetings in total of the years Roddick has won seven of them. Ljubicic has gone downhill since they last met however and he is a player who for me really struggles with consistency these days. Yes he has been superb at times week beating Novak Djokovic in straight sets in the third round and also he did great to bounce back from a set down to knock out Nadal in the semis yesterday evening but in between he had to come from behind against Juan Monaco in a game he should really have won cosily on this surface. Roddick is the far more consistent player for me and I think a victory for the American is far more likely this evening. This is the third final of the year for Roddick already in just his fifth tournament and he stands at 1-1 to date so will be looking to make that 2-1 and his overall finals record to 29-18 with a win. His serve is always a huge task to overcome for his opponents and Im not sure Ljubicic is up to it. If Roddick takes the first then I would fully expect him to win the next so I will take him to do this in straight sets tonight at the odds.

The Raptors have lost 10 of their last 12 but they showed more encouraging signs late on against Portland the other night and followed that with an impressive win over the Hawks in Toronto. They were spanked at home to the Thunder last night but they have a great chance to bounce back to winning ways here as they face the dismal New Jersey Nets. The Nets are heading for an NBA all time worst record this season as they currently are just 7-61 so far this year and dont look like they will be improving too much on that. They have lost six straight and looked to really miss Devin Harris in their last few games aswell. They have lost all three meetings with the Raptors this season losing by an average of 16.4pts per game. The Raptors won by 17pts here in New Jersey just last month and so they really should bounce back to winning ways tonight and cover this pretty lenient spread.

Espanyol havent been in great form of late but their home form has been rock solid all season and against a Sevilla side who have been out of form for a while now the hosts certainly have a good chance of winning tonight in my opinion. Sevillas latest step backwards came midweek when they were knocked out of the Champions League losing at home to CSKA Moscow making it five games without a win for Sevilla. They will find it tough to win here aswell against Espanyol and I reckon the hosts can take a lead into the break in this one before Sevillas class eventually gets them a point. At just over 17/1 I think thats worth a little punt anyway.

Inter Milan are on a high after beating Chelsea in both legs of their Champions League clash but there are in serious danger of suffering another setback in Serie A tonight as they take on Palermo. The hosts are unbeaten at home all season conceding just nine goals here and winning ten of their fourteen matches. Inter have only won half their away games this season losing three and drawing four so they look short enough here to me especially as they lost their latest league game at Catania and have won just one of six in Serie A coming into this. They did however draw four of those and having a good fighting spirit usually when they fall behind in games so I reckon this one could finish all square although Palermo can give them a fright for a while by taking an early lead. I like that scenario tonight at the odds.

Valladolid have now gone ten games without a win losing their last three coming into this and as a result now find themselves second from bottom and 6pts from safety. A big reason for their downfall has been a horendous list of injuries that hasnt eased and with the current available squad they have relegation looks very likely at this stage. Deportivo meanwhile are having a fine season and are chasing the final Champions League spot in La Liga currently sitting just 3pts behind the out of form Sevilla who are in fourth. Depor have a fine record at home this year and should make it 9 league wins at the Riazor this evening.

Despite the fact they havent won an away game in the Premiership all season I think Hull are worth a punt this afternoon. They have gone close to winning on the road several times but this is certainly their best opportunity of an away win from their remaining fixtures. Pompey recently had their 9pts deductions come into affect so they are essentially relegated as I type bar a miracle. Hull still have every chance of survival and so with the hosts playing for pride compared to Hull still playing for their lives and also playing their first game under new manager Iain Dowie I get the feeling Hull will want this more.

An absolutely huge game here for both clubs and one that both will be absolutely desperate not to lose. Burnley have been abysmal away from home this season picking up just one point from a possible 45 in the league but Wigan are one of the poorer teams at home this season, they are missing their only quality player in Charles NZogbia for this game and looking at the line-ups Wigan have gone pretty conservative whilst Burnley have gone with a very attacking starting eleven. On paper Wigan should be good value for the win given Burnleys awful away record but the hosts have a very poor squad in my opinion and now they are fighting for their Premiership lives Im sure we will see much improved away performances from The Clarets between now and the end of the season.

Horse Racing

Unseated Tony McCoy last time but reckon we will see a different horse today. Prior to that run he hacked up in the Hennessey in one of the greatest handicap performances of all time and I reckon he can bounce to that form here. The ground looks to have come good for him at the perfect time, he won this race in 2008 and he has a much better chance of winning this than his odds suggest. He looked great earlier and Denman is not a 5/1 shot for this. For me he is good value.
