West Brom To Win

(28/04 19:45) West Brom v Southampton : West Brom Win @ 1.60

Championship

WBA go top of the league if they win, Southampton are in real danger of going down. I cannot see West Brom slipping up in this game, the incentive to win should be too great, and their home form is good.
Although last month they lost 4-1 at home to Southamptons relegation rivals, I cannot see that happening again. Since then their form has been very good, and Southampton have won only twice in their last seventeen league games. The departure of manager George Burley to the Scotland job hitting them hard.
Ironically these two sides were involved in play off matches for promotion last season.

Its Noble

(28/04 19:30) Grenoble v AC Ajaccio : Grenoble -0.75 Win @ 1.83

French 2

Grenoble in 3rd place sit a point ahead of Troyes in 4th, with this game in hand, battling for the 3rd promotion spot.
Grenoble have a great incentive therefore to go out and win this game.
Ajaccio are no mugs sitting 6th in the league, but are many points adrift of their rivals, but do occasionally put in good performances and are a little unpredictable.
With Grenoble winning their last 4 home ties, and never knowing how Ajaccio will fare, it looks like a home win or draw, given the incentive for the home side to do well.

The Chase Is On

(28/04 19:15) SC Freiburg v Greuther Furth : SC Freiburg or Draw Win @ 1.30

German 2

This game in hand is a good opportunity for both sides to get closer to those promotion positions.
Frieburgs home form is the best in the league, and in their last three home games they haver not conceeded a goal winning all three.
Greuther Furth are going through a rough patch winning only two of theirlast six outings, coupled with their average away form, and unpredictability, this game looks like a home win or a draw, it will be a tight game though.

Result: Win
Profit/Loss: 30

Not Backing This Horsens

(28/04 18:00) AaB v AC Horsens : AaB -0.75 Win @ 1.90

Danish

AaB will go 7pts clear of 2nd place copenhagen if they win tonight, considering they have won their last four home games easily, it could well happen.
Horsens are a good mid placed side with fluctuating form, and could pull off a surprise as they do win away from home and are in ok form. I see this game as a draw aor Win for aab, they have lost only once at home all season, and the incentive to pull completely away at the top is such a grwat opportunity.

A Point To Prove

(24/04 19:30) AaB v Randers FC : AaB Win @ 1.50

Danish

Strange, AaB are top of the league, Randers are comfortably lower mid table, and yet have beaten the league leaders twice last year at home, 5-0 and 1-0 !
That was then and at home this is now and away from home for Randers, where they have only 3 wins this season, AaB have ost only once at home.
Both sides can occasionally throw up strange results, hence probably the 1.5 odds for the league leadfers at home, but with Copenhagen playing at home tonight and Midtjylland drawing last night AaB need to win to increase their advantaqe or maintain it, against rivals, and so should be focused for a win. They have won their last four home games too, and Randers have managed just two points from their last four travels, both 0-0 results. If Aab score which they should, they will win

Nurmberg To Draw Again?

(20/04 14:00) Nurnberg v Wolfsburg : Draw or Wolfsburg Win @ 1.67

German

The last four times that the home side have played in front of their supporters, the game has ended in a draw, 3x 1-1 and once 0-0.
Considering Nurnberg are bottom of the league maybe thats OK.
Wolfsburg have a good away record wining six times on the road, and scoring 21 times in 13 games, which compared to Nurnbergs 14 home goals could be the difference.
With Nurnberg being able to grind out thedraws at home, I go for the Draw/Wolsfburg Double Chance here.
I expect a 1-1 or 1-2 result, with a slight chance of a 0-0.

Go On You Know It Makes Sense

(20/04 13:30) Newcastle v Sunderland : Over 2.5 Win @ 2.04

Premiership

Interesting, very interesting. Up to about a month ago things were looking grim for Newcastle fans, Keegans arrival had done little to bolster their fortunes, but 5 games unbeaten can certainly change a teams outlook and swagger, and thats where the toon are now, on a roll. Sunderlands away form most of the season has been dire, with few wins and even fewer away goals, until something clicked and they won their last two away ties at Fulham and Villa befoe losing at home to Man City. The passionate nature of the tie, could just see it ending up in a draw, but I really quite fancy Newcastle to score one or two, and conceed possibly one or two, so its the Over 2.5 goals bet for me.
Viduka, Owen, Martins, and Keegan as manager, go on you know it makes sense.

Blues, Blues

(20/04 12:00) Aston Villa v Birmingham : Aston Villa Win @ 1.80

Premiership

After going through a bad patch, Villa are back on song, and have scored 10 goals in their last two matches without conceeding, so confidance must be very high.
Local derbies can sometimes throw up strange results, but both managers know about local derbies, having managed each of the Glasgow old firm clubs recently.
Birminghams away form is poor with twelve defeats already this season. They also lost the home tie v Villa 2-1 last year.
It looks like a home win or at the very least draw, but the Double Chance odds are so poor, I have to trust Martin ONeils side to deliver a further relegation blow to the blues.

Its A Victor Meldrew \"Would You Believe It\"

Uncategorised

Saturday night, the end of a busy days football, and a busy weeks football.
Got to say, it is a long time since I have had a week like this one.
Ive suffered an away team whos only scored 5 goals all season scoring four in one half, three in ten minutes to lose me money.
A home banker double chance at 1.04 ( yes it was a stupid bet) losing.
Then today I have had my worst day on OLBG and frankly in betting for a long, long, long time.
Barca draw 0-0 at home to end their chances of winning the Spanish league in a game they totally dominated - Cash lost
Roma draw at home to bottom of the league Livorno 1-1, ending their chances of winning the league, and more cash lost.
I could go on, its been a bad, bad, bad, bad day.

Even my longish shot Lens lo lose at home, didnt come off after a ding dong battle resulted in a 3-2 homw win for Lens.
Today, and this week I couldnt find a drink in a bar !

Just to confirm that when your lucks out, its out, I half thought of having a bet on Seville v Almeria tonight, but I came to my senses, experience telling me I would make a bad call chasing losses.
I was going to bet Seville to Win big time, as I type the pre game favourites Seville are losing at home 4-1, YES 4-1, they were 4-0 down ten minutes ago Almeeria have scored 15 goals away this season before tonight in fifteen games "Would you believe it" today you better had, boy am I glad I didnt completely ruin my week.

Stunned, yes stunned !!!
