Philip Robinson Takes The Ride

When looking at the overnight declarations i was under the impression that Philip Robinson had gone to Thirsk to ride this horse and not Hiccups who i also fancy. This horse has a fair bit of weight to lump around but is if returning to form a major player in this class of race. 16/1 and on the drift does not fill me with confidence but it is overpriced.

Each Way

Well very nearly a 16/1 winner yesterday just collared on the line but still a good run and a profitable day.
Today Mores Wells is not up to the class of the front three in the market but has run well all season. Has been lumping big weights around on soft going and performing well. The really sexy prices have gone with the defection of the Duke but 9/1 will do. It will only take one of the front 3 not to perform to get a place. |

Overpriced

I like the favourite but not the price. Kings Wonder and Vigano look much better value to me. Willie Muir must be trying to get a win out of this horse as it is always backed. The draw and distance are ok. Richard Mullen has the one ride tonight and i hope he can finally get a win out of this animal. I have just seen Minus Fifteen run 4th at Kempton which helps the form of Kings Wonder. |

David Probert Booked

What took my eye was the David Probert booking for Michael Jarvis. There are plenty of dangers with the favourite and Gold Prospect amongst them. But the weight over the one mile 3 furlong distance may see Armure home. Has an entry for the Cesarwitch, it may not be good enough for that race but this is easier. I would not say it was my strongest tip but 6/1 carrying 8 stone 5 is ok. |

Each Way Value

This has very little to do with me strongly fancying the horse. But the make up of the race with 8 runners i cannot let Danetime Panther who is receiving weight from all its rivals go umbacked at 16/1. There is very little difference between any of these horses, they are closely matched in ability. Tilapia at 33/1 could easily run into a place. If this horse places you will be in the money |

Any One Of The 6 Could Win

Well Foreign Rythmn came 4th yesterday in a poor ride from Stacey Renwick otherwise i would have a had a place and a win yesterday. This race is so close in every aspect, ratings, speed,prices that any one of the 6 could win, with two non runners and the lower weighted Mandarin Spirit having William Buick taking off 5 lbs this is a value price at 11/2. |

Right Race For This Horse

I like this horse who is slightly down in class. Sir Michael may have found the right race for this horse. Speed Gifted is the money horse and the form looks good after his Longchamp run but my selection is a bigger price, so another each way bet is the way i am going on a tricky day. Good luck to all. |

Higher rated than a lot of these in the worst race of the day. Most of them are lucky to get 6 furlongs. i like this small races though when you can sometimes dismiss a lot of the field. This horse is drawn ok and at the price is an each way bet. |

This horse over 1 mile 6 is a ridiculous price. Remember the longer the distance the more affect weight has. This horse has won off a mark of 82 and today runs off 58 carrying 9 stone 2. I am hoping tonight is the night at a massive 18/1, each way is advisable. |
