5:15 Cheltenham
(19/03 17:15) 5:15 Cheltenham : Calatagan Win @ 114.05 Horse Racing |
Looks over priced at 100/1+, around he 40/1 mark in most papers and think there is some value here despite the odds. The festival has been a punters nightmare so i don't expect it to end with a win for the favourites.
Ridden by a decent rider in Phil Kinsella who will im sure hope to go out on a high.
Horse can 2nd in this very race just 2 years ago so is proven over course and distance, must get back to that form to feature but if he does can make the frame for his trainer and end a meeting as it began, with a shock. |

4:00 Cheltenham
(19/03 16:00) 4:00 Cheltenham : Dusty Doolan Win @ 104.55 Horse Racing |
Been in consistent form with 5 top 3 finishes from all his last 5 races, all of them ave been over the 3 mile trip and just needs to stay that extra bit today to feature. In decent form, jumps nicely stamina will be tested but if proves it can sneak a place. 4 places up for grabs and we have had many big price winners already.
Horse is trained by Denis Murphy who will hope to continue a decent week for the Irish yards.
Just hope he continues to run well and if so can go close. |

(19/03 15:20) 3:20 Cheltenham : My Will EW @ 180.55 Horse Racing |
While his recent form is very much no where near good enough to see him win this i think if he can get some of his old form back he is good enough to nick 3rd, the top 2 are a class apart but that 3rd place is up for grabs.
Trained by Nicholls and he may well get the top 3 in this race so this horse holds a fair chance on his best form. Ridden today by Nick Scholfield he must get somewhere near his very best to win. Has ran in this race 3 times, he knows whats its all about and knows this track well. Small ew selection as the top 2 are no price. |

2:40 Cheltenham
(19/03 14:40) 2:40 Cheltenham : Bostons Angel Win @ 66.55 Horse Racing |
Has been progressing well of late and further improvement would see him feature in this despite the large odds.
He has won his last 2 races and now 3 from 4, those have all be over 2mile to 2 mile 4, his last run was that latter distance and he won it staying on. This trip today is 3 miles so the obvious question is will he stay.
He clearly has the speed and he has really done well over the shorter trips so at his first effort over 3 miles i think he is worth a risky couple of pounds as we have seen already this week even the bigger priced horses can win races. |

2:05 Cheltenham
(19/03 14:05) 2:05 Cheltenham : Inventor Win @ 38.05 Horse Racing |
Big price this and based on his last run i dont believe he is out of things.
Trained by Donald McCain and ridden by young claimer Andy lane who takes 3lbs off his back, this is his first ever Cheltenham festival ride and im sure he will be out to impress.
Horse won well last time out over 2 miles at Musselburgh when he found a decent turn of foot to scoot clear, think over today extra furlong he will be very much suited and can have a say in things, will need to be ridden up with the pace but if there abouts im confident he can run a big one.

1:30 Cheltenham
(19/03 13:30) 1:30 Cheltenham : Rupestrian Win @ 57.05 Horse Racing |
I can't believe the sp of this runner, seems very much over priced and i dont think by the time the races goes off he will be much over 33s.
Trained by Tim Vaughan who has yet to saddle a festival runner this week. He will be hoping that despite the lack of numbers he can still land a big win and with this runner i dont believe he's without a chance.
Horse won 4 races on the bounce and then despite a few errors still managed a 2nd in his last race at Stratford.
He faces his ideal trip today and also the ideal going.
Its fair to say he needs to take a huge step forward and a huge lead in form but hes progressive and on the up. He has been running well, he has been winning races and thats all you can ask for.
Richard Johnson is a very strong jockey booking, he's had a good week so far and will hope to add to it, he's 2/2 on this horse so i just hope he runs a big race and if he gets into the mix then who knows. |

4:40 Cheltenham
(18/03 16:40) 4:40 Cheltenham : Nostringsattached Win @ 15.00 Horse Racing |
Trained by Jonjo O'Neil and no runner in the race has been as consistent, a few too many 2nds maybe but still i think he can win this one today.
Has won 2 and finished 2nd 3 times out his last 5, stays further than this trip but also has won over 2mile 5 so looks to me like he stays but also has a nice bit of speed so id expect him to be suited by the going and trip today.
Has been off since August but that's ideal as his best form has come when fresh.
Open race, this is one that must be a serious contender and at 14s offers some good value to end the day. |

4:00 Cheltenham
(18/03 16:00) 4:00 Cheltenham : Song of Songs Win @ 13.00 Horse Racing |
Not often id go with a flat trainer at the festival but this runner trained by James Fanshawe looks a really good sort and i think he can land this one.
Has had a good run into the race and looks ready for it, has some good form over the past few months and if staying the trip must be a player as his jumping is as good as any in the race.
AP rides despite having a host of other runners to choose from inc the fav trained by Jonjo O'Neill, that sais he is sticking with this runner and that speaks volumes.

3:20 Cheltenham
(18/03 15:20) 3:20 Cheltenham : Fair Along EW @ 101.00 Horse Racing |
Have backed this runner at the last few festivals along with some decent flat races, i still think he has some class about him and after the form of trainer Philip Hobbs so far this week i think a very small ew bet is justified.
There are places up for grabs and already this week we have seen fancied runners totally turned over so would it be a huge shock for this one to feature ? I think not.
As mentioned trained by Hobbs and ridden Rhys Flint, hes a decent young jockey and will be desperate to run well in a rare festival chance.
Horse has been placed at the festival a couple of times in the past, he has won some big flat races and will stay this trip, must get some of his old form back to feature but its not beyond him. |

2:40 Cheltenham
(18/03 14:40) 2:40 Cheltenham : Jack The Giant EW @ 34.00 Horse Racing |
Going to stick with Nicky Henderson in this race and with his so called outsider in Jack The Giant. Comes here in good order and has won all his last 4 races, has the speed of a 2 miler and has ran and won over this trip before so signs are good. This is a step forward and he will need to be as good as ever to land this but at 33s i think he has a great chance of being involved in the finish.
Andy Tinker takes the ride but he has proven already this meeting he is no mug with 2 top 3 finishes from 3 rides so far this week.
All in all a tight race with may big chances but out of the larger odds i think jack may well be a Giant who can make the frame at least. |

Ive been betting since i was about 16, always had a passion for horses and that's where my real love lies. I prefer the flat to jumps but generally find the jumps easier to find winners which is strange. I wouldn't class myself as a pro better as i often have fun bets and my stakes are generally low, they only rise when ive had the time to really look into a market and am confident.
I bet on a whole range of markets mainly horses, football, baseball and basketball but do dabble on most markets.
