this horse is thrown in and can land a national for the mc cain clan and trevor hemmings today,to my eye he hasnt looked fully fit all year but you will be able to see your face in his coat today and all he needs is a bit of luck getting round as he has the ability,i have no doubt that he will get every inch of the trip and then some if needed,looks like the best national favourite for a while and very confident he can win today.(dun doire is my e/w pick)

horrible race for me as there are 6 ive been waitng on all taking each other on but im going with the swinbank first string to go in today,hasnt been hard pressed to land both starts this term and the trainer normally sends he smart sorts to aintree,would advise e/w as at the price id expect a place at worst from him today.

has looked an average type for the champion trainer until lto when bolting up at wincanton,turned out under a penalty today in a better class race but if improving from that run he could be a bit more than 7lbs in front of phil smith at the moment and im hoping he is.

unbeaten in his completed starts as has had a few falls this season,looked really well lto when hacking all over the field at fairyhouse,faces a opponent out of the top drawer in tidal bay today who was my banker of the week but with so many cheltenham horses failing to run their race this week ive switched to this fella as at the odds i make him a solid e/w selection who has the ability to cause an upset if the johnson horse doesnt run his race.

emma lavelles mare has taken very well to chasing with an unbeaten run of 4 so far and should go close today,impressive at her fences and versatile with regards to ground,takes another step up the ladder today but will hopefully prove more than capable.

ran a stormer in the coral cup when finishing 4th after meeting with interfierence on a few occasions then stayed on up the hill,has ran 4th in 2 grade 3 events so this represents a drop in class,will enjoy the long flat run in and looks to have a good oppertunity to pick up a decent prize today for his shrwed trainer.

3 wins from 4 visits tells you he loves it round here,good ground will be perfect and its easy to pick holes in most of the opposition,timmy murphy knows him like the back of his hand and looks like a banker to me.

has looked one to keep on the right side of all season an rates an interesting runner in this rather than the juvenile hurdle on day 1,3rd to franchoek in a grade 1 at chepstow and ran a decent race in the truimph hurdle when finishing 6th,could go well at a price but 4 year olds dont normally win this event but peter bowen normally places his horses well so at the odds ill have a e/w tickle.

hughie morrisons horse looked a potential star at exeter on his first start when winning with plenty left imo,given too much to do at cheltenham when just failing to get up but todays longer trip will suit him better and with mc coy taking over from johnson i think this is the bet of the day for me at the likely odds.

this one has looked a great prospect since his bumper days and he hasnt stopped improving yet,has really come into himself of late and has been plying his trade over hurdles and fences to great effect,has barry geraghty in the plate today so wont be found wanting for assistance there and i thought they would wait until punchestown for his next run but another irish runner today who i think will run all over these.
