While there are hundred of different casino games around now, most people stick
to the core favourites of blackjack, roulette, craps, baccarat, Caribbean stud
and video poker.
We've highlighted the approximate "house edge" with each of these games.
Without wanting to get too technical this is essentially the percentage of the
money that you bet that you can expect to lose on average when you play the
game. As you will see, some games are fairer than others.
Having gone through doing this review we've ended up seeming like a bit of a
broken record as we've been stunned to discover that on odds alone, Private
Casino has substantially better odds than any of the other we looked at for
pretty much every game.
We've listed the main casino games below in approximate order of how good the
odds are.
Blackjack
Its common knowledge that Blackjack is the most played game in casinos today.
But did you know that all online casinos have different rules that affect the

Big gap here as we move from the serious casino games into the fun and
leisure (not so good odds) games Roulette
One thing to be aware of in roulette is the difference between American
(double 0) and
European (Single 0) wheels. Other than the numerous bets which are available in all versions of the game there are also special
betting options found in particular versions of the game.
When you play French
Roulette you will be able to bet on a betting plan called a “racecourse” which
enables you to place multiple bets, referred to as Neighbour of French bets, in
one click.
Most importantly there is also a rule in the French version called
"En Prison" which is effectively a concession whereby you get a 50% stake refund
on the even money bets if the 0 is rolled.
This has a massive impact on the odds of the game as it effectively
halves the house advantage (if you stick to the even money bets anyway).

Pai Gow
Poker
Pai Gow Poker is played by first placing a bet on one or both of the betting circles
on the table. Once this is done both the dealer and player receive seven cards.
Those seven cards are split into two hands, one of five cards and another of
two. Once satisfied with the split the player and dealer will compare there five
and two card hand to see who wins. Hands are ranked very much like poker hands. Casinos take commission on the games played. The
option of being the dealer is available in Pai Gow and this brings considerably
better odds. To find out more about Pai Gow and its odds see our
Pai Gow Poker Guide Typical House Edge:
With no Banker Optiion: 2.75% With alternate Banker: 1.5%
Best Pai Gow Poker Casino: Private Casino Caribbean
/ Cyber Stud Poker
Stud Poker is a modified version of 5 card stud poker where instead of
playing other people you are playing against the house. Another feature
which makes Caribbean Poker different is the side bet option. Side bets are
placed as the same time as the ante bet and the payout of a side bet is
independent of the dealers hand. This means that even if the dealers hand beats
yours and you qualify to win on the side bet, you still win. For more
details on how the game works, basic strategy and the payouts see our
Stud Poker Guide.
