 What is it?
The OLBG sponsorship program is where we give you some sponsorship money in return for helping us out in some way.
What sort of money do you pay?
The aim is to sponsor many people for relatively modest sums, so in most cases we'd be talking maybe £50 to £200 per month.
Who is eligible?
Anyone with a good idea. If you can provide something useful to us such as say publicity by wearing our t-shirts in suitable places or writing useful articles for the site then we'd like to hear from you (see the examples below).
What do I have to do?
This will work best if you do something you enjoy and maybe do anyway, then its not like work, its just fun and you are getting some extra money to help you along the way. We're not so much looking for people to do say a daily review of the days racing but more looking to sponsor peoples hobbies.
EG you might want to visit every racecourse in the UK & write about it for the site. Or maybe you want to go to every championship football ground.
Is the money taxable?
Yes it is. You'll need to invoice us for the sponsorship money each month & you will be responsible for the tax implications of the income you get.
What sort of things are you looking for?
Two things mainly, publicity for the site and content.
Sponsor Example I
OLBG member and poker fanatic JWoody is being sponsored to do an online poker tour where he will spend a month thoroughly checking out a poker site and then will give us detailed feedback on what it was like and how he got on. He'll also be reviewing a poker book every month.
Sponsor Example II
A couple of OLBG members are keen to enter a high profile Poker tournament where they will be willing to wear OLBG T-shirts and tell everyone there about OLBG for the evening in return for some help covering their entry costs.
