Back Hosts Switzerland for Euro 08 Glory
|
The UEFA European football Championship finals take place this summer. Euro 2008 finals will start on 7th June and run through to the final on Sunday 29th June.
Joint hosts Austria (100/1 with Coral) and Switzerland (25/1 with William Hill) are guaranteed their place at the Euro 08 finals. They will be joined by the winners and runners up from the seven Euro qualifying groups.
The 16 teams at the Euro 08 finals will be split into four groups - Euro 08 finals Group A, B, C and D and battle it out to qualify for the latter stages with the ultimate aim of winning the Henri Delaunay Trophy.
Past European Championship Winners
There have been plenty of big priced countries filling the final two posisitions in recent tournaments. Greece (33/1 with Betfred) caused a big shock in the last tournament, managing to go all the way by keeping a very tight defence.

Euro Host Nations
Host Nations have a good record in the European Championships. Every single host has reached at least the semi finals with Spain (8/1 with Ladbrokes) , Italy (11/2 with Blue Square) and France (8/1 with William Hill) all winning the trophy when hosting the tournament.

Although Switzerland and Austria arent known as the strongest countries in European football, it maybe wise to get a good early price on one of the Euro 2008 hosts making the latter stages.
England are the only so called big nation that has failed to qualify which means the hosts can still be backed at a decent each way price.
