Germany are most people's favourites to win the tournament so should be a penalty kick to qualify from Group B.

Croatia will be fancied by many to go well having disposed of england in the qualifying round. England were atrocious and Croatia are much better at home so could be vulnerable here. An unimpressive win in the first game puts them in a decent position but they still need to improve.

Poland finished above Portugal in the qualifying stage and that achievement certainly is not reflected in the price to qualify from Group B. Whether or not they have the quality to progress is another thing. A win against Croatia is really needed if they are to progress after being beaten by Germany in their opening game.

Austria are the joint hosts this year so are able to make use of home advantage against their Group B rivals. They may be considered the weakest side in the competition but home advantage is massive, as is the price to qualify. They looked a little unlucky against Croatia but really could have done with at least a point in that game. Now they need at least a draw against Germany.

Buying This Market

There is not much value in buying Germany at 19-20.5 because even if they do win the group there is only a small profit. A better bet is to buy Austria at 1.5-3. They will be the home side in this group and that should provide enough advantage for them to at least finish third. They might even sneak second place and that would yield a massive profit if they spring that surprise.

Selling This Market

With Croatia now missing Eduardo Da Silva and the chance either Poland or Austria could cause an upset it may be best to sell Croatia at 12-13.5. Even if they play as expected and finish runners up the loss will be very small. There is every possibility they could finish third and that would produce a very nice profit.
