IMO everyone as thier own favourite site(s), I think its a matter of personal choice Paul. I myself have stopped playing certain sites, which some of my mates swear by.
As for the River card Its gets everyone mate, all the time, on every site Such called the River, Sink or Swim baby
I am now trying a new site myself Seems good so far and reasonable fair
Just try afew sites Paul and I'm sure you'll find one that you prefer Good Luck matey _________________ "He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life." |

I would personally think that the stakes you should be playing, if your a relative beginner, bumbing into Pro's shouldn't come into the equation m8. I'd be very surprised if any pro's a playing small staked cash games or >$20 STT's
IMO just try afew $2 or $5 5 or 10 seater STT's and limited any cash games to a maximum $.25/$.50 blinds if you are learning the game
Any more questions mate just ask, glad to help a fellow OLBGer _________________ "He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life." |

| if you feel web sites are cheating you on the cards then spend a few hours turning cards over like your playing poker and see how many suprising cards, river bad beats etc come up. |

Poker Stars is one of the few sites that I have not played so I cant comment on it unfortunately
I now play alot of my poker on Eurolinx. Its a fast emerging site which IMO combines the best of all other sites, I.E uses prima networking for its tables (Bet365), MicroGaming for its software, less bad beats IMO (Party Poker) and as afew lobby layouts to suit all users ( inc Ladbrokes, my personal favourite regarding layout). Eurolinx also as some great features like the Rabbit Cam and when you fold you can still see your cards, just to confirm that you would have missed the flop again . Give it a try Paul, you will only find a site you feel comfortable with or prefer by trying some out. _________________ "He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life." |

I did that once FF regarding QQ v's AK as a so called Race
the Q's won a staggering 21 out of 25 hands I know running only 25 hands doesn't account for solid evidence but still a surprising result IMO _________________ "He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life." |

I believe smaller sites give better chances to avoid the Pro's.
Also a good way of getting started is to play freeroll tournaments and test your skills trying to go for the first prize with no risk.
I like the $ 200 Weekly Freeroll every Sunurday at GPCPokerRoom.com and also the monthly $500 Freaky Friday Freeroll Tournament. |

i've tried quite a few sites but i'm going to try Bet365 now....just getting myself up a rake back atm.... getting about 30% not too bad.
I use to like Paddy Power before it changed but now its not too good. I recommend u test a few sites before settling on one. Every person has their own opinions but i also have heard alot about Poker Stars which i have downloaded but don't play myself, just don't like it
as acesjones says just try a few tournaments and the lower stakes tables until u learn more about the games, and i really doubt you will run into a pro, if your not in the top end of the stakes. |
