I tried to play on PKR last year but my PC was'nt high spec enough, but now I have a new one I will have to check it out, it definitely is a new take on online poker and well worth checking out.

I too tried PKR last year woody with an under spec pc, since then have built myself new one and thought i'd have a go and see what its really like.
Initial thoughts were "hmmm this looks complex....loads of buttons at the table to play with". One good thing is, like Poker Stars (amongst others) they have real money and play money.............if u want to try this site, you need to play play money first to get the feel of the site and work out what all the excess buttons do !!!.
Ok....so away i go with my play chips at the table, and a very tempting line up of buttons to press to "see what they do" Smile , after my third hand, one of my opposing players wrote, "vattie, what are you doing? can you not just sit still"...apparently i had simultaneously, done a dance, clapped, waved my fist and did a chip shuffle !!! (was wanting to do a backflip, but couldn't find a button for that)...........i was determined to find out what them buttons did Laughing
Played for a couple of days, testing buttons, whilst still in play mode, and found myself liking the site which was quite surprising as i normally like a "non gimmicky" site.
Did well in the play mode, so decided to deposit (was hoping real cash would allow me to backflip every now and then.......unfortunately not). One downside is minimum deposit is $50, but thats one of those things, even if you are a $5 sng man, you still have to deposit to other sites with lower minimum deposits, just means it lasts longer.
Started my PKR real money experience on the ring circuit, as i had done so well there with the play money. I was playing 6 up and on the first night after an hour or so finished with a loss of $17, so next night turned up with $33, which i duelly turned into $72. Have to admit that i haven't played ring for awhile, but found the 10c/25c games that i was playing very very hard work....very little action, which means its hard to turn a quick profit, although possible, which i proved, its quite painstaking.
So tonight i turned my hand to the sng, entered for a $20 +2 6 seater, and came out triumphant with a wage of $84 (70%-30%)
I have to say, in the short time i have played this site, i have found it hospitable, easy to use (after a spell experimenting in play), fun with all the gimmicks, and (from what i have experienced so far) beatable opponants which should bring a smile to any olbg player, as they are more than capable to turning a profit on this site (imho)

Have just seen that PKR do a "refer a friend", so if anybody is thinking of joining the site send me a pm and we get $50 each.
This is from their site:
Quote:
Here’s how it works; for every friend you refer we’ll give you a cool $50 reward and your friends get $50 too! All they have to do is sign up on PKR, make a first deposit of $50 or more and earn just 1,000 PKR Points. It’s that easy!

Haven't looked at how the points are awarded, but they cant be that hard to obtain as i have 2192, and have played 2 1hour sessions of 10c/25c cash, 1 $20 sng and 2 $10 sng's.

Pm me first if you are interested, as i have to "invite" you, for the bonus to work.
