Qualifying for the WSOP Main Event 2008 as also started on most online poker sites, time for some feedback chaps.
I would be interested if players could post which Poker Sites they play on and what that sites approach to WSOP Qualifying is, from Free-rolls to Daily satellites.
I want to find out, if possible, which sites offer the best value, packages and number of seats for this years Main Event.
I for one have been attempting to qualify for the WSOP for the past two years at Ladbrokes, but this year I am very disappointed with the tournament set up regarding qualifying. For Example their first levels are now either $10 Turbo Re-buys ( basically a lottery) or a $100 all in or fold tourney.
Have you come across any decent WSOP satellites online yet? _________________ Think Big, because if you pay peanuts your only going to attract monkeys. |

acey you been doing any? how you been getting on?
i've just been taking a look around at the different sites i'm registered on and found Ladbrokes have a few though min buy in on their satelities is $11 apart from their $1 one on Wednesdays. 14 people already in there.
Betfair's structure sounded confusing but i'm only just downloading the software now and may understand better when i look through the games!
Pacific Poker look to have a bit, there one i haven't used in about 5 years and need to remember both my username and password!
party don't look to do wsop from what i can see on their site.
let me know if you've found any good ones. |

I'm struggling to find any with a good structure FF. The first level satellites, like u say ranging from $1 to $10ish, all are either turbo re buys or are all-in/folds.
I just want a good $10-$30 1st level Freezeout, with 3 satellite to go thru to Win a package. But this year the sites that I've looked at don't seem to be offering any thing like this. _________________ Think Big, because if you pay peanuts your only going to attract monkeys. |

AJ - I only play on VC, Laddies and Paradise Poker, i have no interest in it but VC seems the way to go as below:
Super Satellites for the Main Event
If King of Poker is the kudos you seek then only the Main Event will do. Our Sunday Super Satellites offer a $14,000 Prize Package to the fortunate fanatics that qualify along with that chance of a lifetime to be crowned king!
Super Satellite Freezeouts are taking place every Sunday at 20.00 with cash feeders for as little as $6!
Package Details - $14,000
$10,000 buy-in to Main Event (July 3rd – 13 day Freezeout event)
$4,000 expenses
Optional 10 nights accommodation (cost deducted from expenses if taken)
Registration fees covered ($350)
Satellite Schedule
It seems to be cheap level 1 satellites into big tournies - check it out and let me know if its sound - Im tryin to write this while playin on VC so its doin my heid in bouncin back n forth!! _________________ 2008 OLBG S.H.O.E Poker Champion

Cheers Burr Never tried VC, I will give it a look though.
What Software does it use? I might already have an account with an affiliated site. _________________ Think Big, because if you pay peanuts your only going to attract monkeys. |

VC is on the ipoker network, where I play most of my poker. You will find a list of all sites on that network on Pokerscout. Presumably they all have the same structure for WSOP qualification.

had an email through from Coral saying that if i deposited some cash with a particular code i would get entry to a free roll for WSOP.
details from Coral:
"We’ll match your next deposit into ‘Poker’ up to $300 – simply use the code: WSOP2008. Do this before 21/04/2008 and we’ll give you a free ticket to a freeroll to win one of ten WSOP Final tickets worth $320!" |
