What the hell is up with people these days on online poker chat ???
Is it just me, and the style i play that provoke people to abuse you?, or is it happening to most online players?
As most of you will know i have been an online player from the word go,but have kept myself away from it for the past few months (well prob near a year now), mainly due to boredom rather than "just needing a break" through bad decisions etc. I had a game with some of the boys on this site last week and have generally been trying just to feel my way back into it again.......anyhow tonight "felt" like a game for the first time in ages, so off i trot to my old haunt.
I played 2 games, both $20+2 6seat turbos, i won them both.......thats the way it goes, it could quite easily have gone against me, and most likely another night it will, but hey that poker. I'm a great believer that certain hands have to be played "strong" in two situations and they are when you are "chip dog" and "chip leader". In the first game tonight i was the chip dog when there was 4 of us left, i was in position and went all in(3xbig blind, bb was 200) with K 10 suited, i got called by the big blind with JJ, i hit my K and was called every obscenity under the sun, same game same player, further in when i was chip leader, 3 of us left , he flat called my bb and i went all in with 77, he called with A 10 and got knocked out....more obscenities....i was an idiot, a muppet, i should play bingo.......why is it all the jammy players win !!!
2nd game was exactly the same......i played certain strenght cards accordingly to the situation i was in....chip dog or chip leader. One instance was i was heads up (after already recieving my fair share of crudeties) i was chip leader and went all in with A 9 suited he called me with QJ off......then called me jammy (amongst other things) when i hit?
Personally i think i play the game well and know the logistics of it, but am i employing tactics that wind people up?.....it just seems bizarre that i have played 2 games with the same tactics and had the same abuse.....i could understand it if i played 72off and hit trip 7's when against AA.
It doesn't get to me to so i go on tilt, it just bloody winds me up !!! I want to be able to debate it, if u know what i mean....just say "hang on a minute sonny jim, i had the best hand.....whats your argument?"( which isnt possible with online poker)...hold em is a game of 7 cards.....NOT 2, just wish most of the up and coming players would bloody realise that.

both moves were spot on, for very obvious reasons and his calls were too... eventually the ignoramous will realise that...
I love it when I get slagged off (and it happens a lot ) a bit o banter is wot i thrive on... as long as you dont get the planks who come out with the vile abuse and the cancer remarks etc (I would urge everyone to report these people as and when it happens)... I wud happily sit for a whole game and wind someone up who has abused someone's play. i will always stick up for others who have been slagged, even if i think the slagger had a point, just no need for bad manners!
I find it helps as it puts the original slagger on tilt and gets the rest of the table on my side, so they arent gonna try and knock me out as often.. plus as i say its almost better fun than playing my hand.... _________________ 2008 OLBG S.H.O.E Poker Champion

I've been known to lose my cool in the chat boxes from time to time i'm afraid
Not anymore though, mainly because I never have the chat on as i'm playing too many tables to keep an eye on it in any case
The best thing to do is just agree with them to be honest,so if someone calls you a dinkey just respond with a "yep i'm a donkey" or a "hee-haw" or something, that's what will really tilt them |

HI everyone
I have been playing poker on line for some time now, mainly at Bet365 who have had a great site with easy tables which showed your name and chips, now they changed the setup and put those aviatars up, made the tables look like something out of a beano or dandy, now I am looking for anothe site to play that has no gimmicks.
Can anyone point me in the right direction where you can play at tables with no fancy dress or gimmicks, just simple name and money or chips depending on what type of game you are playing. |

I play Ongame Poker (Tower)... it's all just jokers nowadays...
Either you're a donk, or you're getting CAPS LOCKED at for taking too long (multi-tabling)...
Meh, i close the chat. Ignore the bums now. . . then show the J2 that i raised to push someone out of the pot ; ) |

It's not often you have two Full Houses that get beat on the river by quads in the same night on the bubble!! Grrr.... _________________ -

like the O/P ive not been playing much lately, due to being to flamin busy but i have noticed the same, almost every time you win a hand you get dogs abuse and it seems to come from mainly our American cousins.
You always had it to a certain extent but at the moment its ridiculous |
