Question?
Can you win a tournement with no money in your account?
If you have several hundred pounds in your account does this improve your chances of winning a tournement?
These questions I am asking as a friend of mine wins on, say once a month, either wins or gets into the top five for a good return. Now his account is of some three figure sum.
I have a little in my account and I have yet to get to the final of any tournement table. Every time, I feel, I am getting on a good roll, I am suddenly moved and then the hands start to change, I get good hands but the flops go against the hand. Then, either, i have just made the money or just knocked out before a return.
I am, wondering if any one could through some ligt on this subject, or am I wrong and not playing well enough!
Also I have notice that the hands that are being played the cards that are generated are towards the players remaining. Like for instance, I go all in with pocket sevens and the another player calls with pocket tens. the flop appeares with 8 q 9 7 (great three sevens) and yes you all gues right jack pops up in river, amazing this happens, I have tried many a time with a pack of cards and never got this run together.
Once again, am I thinking, I am barking up the wrong tree.
Look forward to all your views on this good poker game that looks to be playing to the better accountant, than a punter who is praying for a lift.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but in my opinion this type of mentality is prevalent in poker and the reason why so many people don't win. It's human nature to look for something external to blame when things to badly, the real questions should be of an introspective nature. Feelings of "if I withdraw will my profit will the site flip the switch anf turn my cards against me?" or "if I keep more money on the site, will they reward me with better cards?" should be replaced with questions like "have I done everything I possibly could to beat the game?" and "am I playing in a game that's right for me?"
If you still have this feeling nagging in the back of your mind, you could manage your fear by playing with a bigger bankroll behind you, if you've got a few grand that you're able to deposit, this might help, although the best solution would be a change of mindset, I reckon.
I've had great success on iPoker, why not give their $5k rebuys a go? They have 2 in the morning and the average field sixe was about 200 when I was playing them, 1st prize is usually a grand and I'm still subsidising my lifestyle off my poker winnings a year down the line, I can't believe it's already been a year I've been out of poker.
Thanks for your replies, I have played for many a year and have come close on an odd occassion. You hear so many reasons or pionts of view on the game, it makes you start to think, its good to get a positive remark back and brings you back into the picture. I will not let this deter me from playing as i enjoy the game, just my luck to walk into pocket aces, etc.
I will have a look at ipoker, to see what the score is.

Just something i have found,i was not a good player but i like to think since playing with you guys ive improved.I must have as ive won 6 tourneys and came 2nd in no end,ok there not big money tourneys but to me a win is a win,and i do not work im a bum(not my fault). What i would suggest to people if you can come and join a good game with good manners and banter twice a week with our tourney that i can guarentee will improve your game. And the cost is very reasonable too.
I also find even with our players there are many different types its up to you to sort out who plays which way.Whatever you decide goodluck. _________________ Bring back Mark Cooper-Lee Harper is pony
