I rarely bet on the UEFA Cup given all the lack of effort but I think tonight's game between Atletico Madrid and Panathinaikos is an interesting one.

Atletico need to win to top the group ahead of the Greeks, there is a significant advantage in winning the groups, in that you're drawn against a 3rd placed team while group runners-up will play a CL team.

Pana are only 3rd in the Greek league at the moment and don't look to be anywhere near as good as Olympiakos. Originally I was thinking of selling Atletico's goal times but Panathinaikos haven't conceded in the UEFA Cup group and have conceded only 5 in 12 games domestically.

Atletico are also 3rd in La Liga but obviously the standard is quite a bit superior. Excluding their Copa del Rey match where they played a weakened side their recent results have been 0-0, 1-0, 2-0, 2-0.

I think I'll have a look at buying Panathinaikos 1st goal at 66 (only sporting have quotes) as their strength is clearly defensive and they could try to frustrate Atletico by keeping it tight.
