Thanks to the traders from Sporting Index for their trading report on the US Masters .

"The US Masters is already well underway and the USA and Canada have dominated the tournament in recent years, winning the last seven green jackets. Tiger Woods has been on fire all season and sellers of his pre-tournament finishing position at 5 with Sporting Index will be hoping that he keeps up his tremendous record at Augusta. He has already won four green jackets and only needs two more to tie the legendary Jack Nicklaus’ record of six. In the last 11 years the winner has registered a final score of -10 or better five times and incredibly Woods has ended his winning years on -18, -16 and -12 twice.

There will be plenty of interest in winning score after last year’s winner Zach Johnson posted the equal highest winning score of +1 (289 shots). Johnson was the first winner to record an over par score since Jack Burke Junior did so back in 1956. Buyers should be aware though that you have to go back 18 years to find the last time a winner posted worse than -7. Buyers of the winning margin will be concerned that in the last ten years the margin of victory has been between a play off and 3 shots. However, buyers will also be dreaming that Woods can pull off a repeat of his inaugural victory here when he won by 12 shots, ending up on an astonishing -18 – the lowest score and highest winning margin ever recorded at Augusta."

bigmoose > tiger was 12 pars yesterday and price was 2.6 to 2.5 geenrally.. he bogeyed 13 and 14 and his price went out to 3.7... then he eagled 15 and price was 2.8 again instantly...

basically his price is way behind what it would be for other players... if he goes plus 2 today after 9 holes for example..and the leader is -5.. then chances are his price will be about 5 as he will be 7 shots back...anyone else it would be 20s probably

but if he is -2 and leader is still -4, then his price will probably be back to 2.0 or lower...

it's all relative but what is good is that even if he drops a shot, his price doesnt lengthen too much... if he birdies it does...

he's currently 4 shots off the lead, having played averagely (for him), he has the experience and knowledge etc... the others above him will mostly fade away.. bar westwood I think and rose.. rose probably will find a way not too win.. he hasn't quite got the mental strength yet to win a major if tiger is close, unless he gets himself about 6 clear after 3 rounds...

day 1 leaders don't usually win...wire to wire is hard and rare... stringing 4 good rounds together is tricky especially here... if rose shoots 68 today though he may be 3 clear... needs to maintain it saturday (moving day) when you will probably see the big guns firing and moving up the board..ie VJ ernie mickelson etc all moving into close range...

I'd stick with your rose bet and Lay off if he goes low today - tiger depend son how he shapes up... he looked iffy last time out and yesterday, but is still thereabouts.. he is such an amazing player that if he clicks he could shoot 66 and be leading tonight... but you have to trade in running on this

one thing that works well for me is to back the opposite in golf..ie as soon as someone birdies I Lay off.. they then drop a shot and the market moves against them - then I buy them again... easiest way to get green screen

hope this helps mate

had rose 28/1 to lead after first round, so even at half stake, i have all my masters bets covered, if only cink hadnt bogeyed 2 late holes.

tiger not firing on all cylinders... +1 now and with leader at -8 thats pushed his price over 5 now

ive cut and run on him and backed mickelson instead which i dont like doing but he's getting in position nicely and will be in the clubhouse in a minute..

just been talking to a mate, and he reckons that with bit of rain cink and holmes would be worth backing to trade at shorter prices.
