good field this week in Florida...
Tiger is 5/4 at best > picked this title up 4 yrs on the trot from 2000 but has been bit quieter since then in it, difficult to avoid the man but might be worth looking for better value elsewhere..or betting in the "without Tiger" market
Bettingzone tips are > VJ @ 25/1, Pampling @ 70/1, Ogilvy @ 66/1 and a dabble on Pavin as a rank outsider... interesting
VJ has picked his form up but hasn't quite shown me that he is back in the winning groove yet, Ogilvy is starting to get it together and it's the sort of course (par 70) that favours him, Pampling has been in form and is a reasonable place bet (and is a previous winner)
In VJ's favour is his record here which is exellent
O'Hair may well continue last wk's winning form with a good show this wk (14th last yr) and has to be respected... 84 on Betfair
Chad Campbell won here in 2004 and has a good record - another one who likes the course... currently 84 on Betfair
Garcia likes the course and has a good record but he's one I avoid most of the time and more so these days
Appleby I've been backing a bit this season and with reason - he's featured well every time... 43 on Betfair definitely appeals to me
Johnson and Pampling are worth watching too...both about 84 on Betfair too so some value there... Donald may be the best of the Euro contingent this week as putting well and showing some form
Matteson @ 289 and Marino @ 189 both appeal to me too at longer odds as both top20 last wk and playing better than their odds perceive...
overall > hard to see past Tiger as always and expect him to be top5 minimum, but would go for Appleby, Campbell, Matteson and Pampling to be up there too... perhaps trading the higher-odds guys and seeing what's going on by Saturday
good luck all |

I could say the same to you but I'm far too polite...

Excellent write up again gecko6, always nice to have some stats on a Wednesday before the "hard earned" goes over the counter.
I'm going to go with 2 former champs in Kenny Perry and Chad Campbell. |

Chad Campbell apeals to me but Stuart Appleby and Kenny Perry have been both hitting a low 60 score followed by an over 72 over the last few weeks. And I should know as I have been following the pair. Deff fancy Stuart Appleby for a Major in 2008 though.
Good Luck all, we need it |

matteson appleby and pampling all missed the cut...not good
marino played himself back into the top 20 though with 2 cracking rounds... the guy is over-priced most wks so watch out for him, chad c is still lurking although went back a bit today
and o'hair and tiger made massive moves today as the rest did their best to self-destruct
tiger has gone from relatively nowhere to joint leader - hence why his price hardly ever rises on the exchanges although a fair bit got matched around 7
nice to see hunter mahan turn up at last...been waiting for him this season as he was one of my pre-season picks |
