Morning All.
After a sucessful Andalucian Open ( I look Levet at 7's on the final day) we now move on to Portugal for the 2008 Open. Having looked at the odds there are two intial fancies for me.
O Fisher - There is no doubt that Fisher will want to play a round again as soon as possible after his last hole bogey in Andalucia where he eventually lost in a playoff. It would be foolish to forget how well he played last week against what was a stronger field than we find in Portugal. There are either two ways that Fisher could go this week, either he could put it all out of his mind and play the golf that we all know he is capable of, or he could bogey the first have real confidence problems and struggle all week. His birdie after two consecutive bogeys on the back nine last week suggests that confidence isnt a problem and that he has the mental game to suceed. At 41/1 the price is hugely generous.
S Klejdsen - A player who has really come on leaps and bounds in the past year. The last tournament he played was in the WGC where he finished in the top ten after three fantastic rounds of golf - if it wasnt for a average other round he could have well been up there. Nearly won in the Volvo last year where he took it to a playoff but a win is surely round the corner. He wont get a better opportunity than this. 28/1 |

yep - good last week.. brier made the top 10, hedblom was just outside, westy 3rd... edfors blew out but still managed to feature briefly > all good for trading...
not so sure about this week though... not a stellar field and could be one of many
tempted to follow my picks from last week and watch EDFORS again (34 on Betfair), BRIER likewise as he's finding his form, and HEDBLOM too (both 37 on Betfair)
not really a week for getting involved though as such an open field and plenty who can feature... definitely a trading week though...

| Here's hoping Kjeldsen can put another 65 together later, not sure if he can win it but would be delighted to get a place having hit the crossbar over the past few weeks..................... |
