Good afternoon all.
Thought i'd get started early this week as the rather unusual nature of this Tournament means i might get this finished by the time it starts .
Firstly there are only 32 Players taking part, and as both myself and Jon had a few problems trying to get the winner last week, this week in my case would seem to be bordering on the impossible
Having looked at the previous two runnings of this via the LPGA Website, this is where it is not to difficuilt to confuse an old git like me , i refer to the previous two tournaments, in 06 the first three rounds were all added together before the slate was wiped clean for the last round, only for last year the slate to be wiped clean after 2 rounds it would seem
Now that i am half way round the M25 , hopefully i wont go much further as i'd hate to meet myself coming back, i will now attempt to solve this, might need Gordon Burns and the Krypton Factor to help .
To begin with please don't take this as gospel all players play the First 2 rounds surprisingly then the top 16 play the 3rd round before a final field of 8 will compete for the gold.
Right now to throw a stat at you.
Since the tournament started in 1996 there have been three players that have won it a total of Seven times between them, those being Annika Sorenstam 4 times, Karrie Webb twice and last year Lorena Ochoa for the first time, what it can mean is that the best player over the 4 day's may not necessarily be the victor.
On the basis that this is very much a Horses for Courses Scenario my main three for this will be the afore mentioned Lorena Ochoa, Annika Sorenstam who despite just missing out last week certainly looked as if she meant businness and Karrie Webb who although it has to said has not got to the Winners enclosure since 01 in this Tournament, but hopefully that could be rectified this week.
I can just see Jon's eye's now as he knows it's back to the old school for me, and just to clarify that i will persevere with Paula Creamer as my final choice for this, so Ladies nothing less than A+ please , and hopefully i've not passed on four.
I very nearly went with Angela Stanford instead of Paula as although despite a shocking recent record in this she is certainly in better shape now than in previous tries here.
Ok after all that as always the Best Of Luck to Jon and anyone else daring enough to take this conundrum on as this is one of those occasion's where Luck will certainly play it's part.
As the credits go THE END thank god for that i here you cry .
Cheers for now.

A bit late for this to be a preview - but couldn't get it written earlier.
This finale to the season is a crazy tournament. However, a player can only afford one mediocre round, and that has to be one of the first two.
The player that to me stands head and shoulders above the rest is Ji-Yai Shin. I see she has already started well. If the conditions remain benign, then I'm sure she will be her own robotic self, and the field will have to look to their laurels. When this Korean lady decides to join the LPGA tour, she is going to take the place apart. I can see her getting seven or more event wins per year as of habit - real Tiger Woods domination. As long as the bookies produce a book betting without her, we'll be able to retain interest.
Apart from Miss Shin, most of my regulars get their names on my betting slip - Paula Creamer, Cristie Kerr, Yani Tseng, Morgan Pressel, Na Yeon Choi, Nicole Castrale and Eun-hee Ji. One addition is Helen Alfredsson as she is the kind of player who if making the last eight, might just be able to provide a storming last round to give herself a chance. But it might be a case of all of them being in the trail of the Korean robot.
