H2H's are an interesting point...it may well be a three-setter although I wouldnt be too surprised if Chak tanked it and lost in two.
At the same time, JJ's opponent yesterday was Sania Mirza - a similar player to Chak, weakish serve but really powerful forehand.
Should be the match of the day. _________________ Corner vulture

nice start to the day with kuznetsova winning 2-0
market sees the next match as a coin-flip, I think the value is with JJ at 1.94 on Betfair, although I'll look for better odds-in-play.
also laying chakvetadze 2-0 _________________ Corner vulture

Many thanks Murrayfield for offering your Pujol tip yesterday.
Keep up the great work.
Murt
cheers, been a bit dicey recent days but im glad i kept the faith.
Massu was electrifying last night, he has been re-born, his movement was top notch and should he play the same again almagro will have his hands full, not a big bet just an average one. Hopefully we get a chance to trade.
Pujol is also worth a small punt aswell. Lay 1.4. Acasuso had a tough battle last night against Canas and could be tired. Pujol should be fresh and this tournamnet might be his coming out party!
Hopefully one of the 2 win goodluck guys |

easy win their titan! popped out to check out a flat, walked back into the staff room to find chak retiring. nice!
shame about it not being a better match as i'd backed 2-1 either way.
Henin next, should win fairly easily though 1.11 is a bit too low really, I won't take lower than 1.13 but may hold to see if it goes higher than that. |

With Shiavone vs Henin today, i'd Lay about 1.1. 1.14 is a bit high.
Trade it off at 1.2.
Shiavone is the type of opponent Henin struggles against, get it back deep to the forehand and hopefully she coughs up errors. Don't get great vibes off this bet because Shiavone isn't the most mentally strong opponent she can face. Perhaps one to dodge
Ivanovic's odds arent great, but I fancy her to win. Can't really back at 1.6 with the ankle injury she suffered last week. Pick your moment to go for this one. |

The results and bad luck i'm getting at the moment is making me wonder why I bother anymore
I have placed a few bets in play over the last few days and from the exact point that I see a confirmation message, it all falls apart for my bet. Lastnight Acasuso looking strong aganist Canas my money goes down for him to win the first set, from there till the end of the set he won 1 point of serve
My list of dissapointments like this are long and endless at the moment but to really rub salt in the wound,I really looked close at the tispsarevic v stakhovsky match and felt that the 5/2 on offer for stakhovsky looked very good. I don't know Stakhovsky too well but I watched him play a few games against Karlovic and he looked good on his serve and handled pressure well. As i didnt know him too well, i talked myself out of taking him and went for Tisparevic to win 2-1
I think I need a long Lay off then stakes with matchsticks! |

what a match henin is having against Schiavone!
1 set up and 2 breaks up Schiavone was serving for the match only to get broken then broken again and Henin draw level!
Don't see Schia coming back in the final set after that.
15/1 on Henin when Schiavone had her first service game for the match! |

hard luck shockjock...just review your strategy, reduce stakes if you feel more comfortable, and maybe even take a break for a while.
Henin match was bizarre, Schiavone winning in two tie-breaks...she didnt play too badly but Schiavone played some immense tennis, never seen her play that well. A really topsy-turvy match for me, strategy with Henin has been to lump on her at her highest odds, wasnt looking too good when she was two breaks down, quite thankful to get out with no loss on that one after staring quite a large red in the face!
I've taken a small punt on ivanovic for starters, hoping to get better odds in play. _________________ Corner vulture

another great match with ivanovic vs dementieva, great effort by both players.
interesting one for me is dementieva in the WTA outright market on Betfair - she is 2.98 to Lay, essentially making her favourite to win outright.
Personally, I don't think she'll win and I've had my fill, I think this is a great value bet - because I think she'll be a minimum of 1.45 to beat Schiavone in the SF, and then will be about 2.5 minimum against Kuznetsova or Jankovic in the final.
What do people reckon?
While we're on the subject, for tomorrow...I reckon that the Schiavone/Demi match is a coin-toss, so if the market favours Demi then Schiavone is surely worth a punt.
Jankovic is in fantastic form and Kuznetsova has been doing just enough to get by in her matches, she's been pretty decent by all accounts, but I feel that this match (and tournament) should go to JJ if she keeps up her standard of play. _________________ Corner vulture
