Ljubicic to beat Ancic @ 2.60, surprised by these odds, I thought they'd be much closer. People may be over-reacting a little with the whole Ancic comeback, we all know he’s potentially a fantastic player but he isn't fully fit yet and you can’t expect him to be back to his best already. Ljubicic has impressed me more this week, he always plays well in Zagreb and is seeking to reach his 3rd consecutive final here. His serve looks unbreakable, he’s averaging 70% 1st serves in and 80% service points won overall.
Gaba had to pull off two stunning passing shots just to get 15-40 (the only two BPs Ljubo has faced all week) and even then the mission was far from accomplished as the big man promptly saved both with 2 service winners. Even his ground game is looking better than it has for a long time, and I would rate him as being the more likely to get the crucial break of serve.
And if, as is very probable, it goes to tiebreaks, Ljubo actually has a superior tiebreak record to Mario and has a knack for coming through the most important points thanks to his experience. If it does go to TBs a point or two here and there will decide it, so Ljubo at 2.6 seems great value to me anyway. GL. |

some great trading in that anna match! Unfortunately it went the wrong way for me with the bulk of my profit being on her. After initially backing her at the start and leaving Lay in the market I rebacked when it went 1 set all then out again before getting on again when it levelled again.
when you can expect break backs every game it makes for great trading! 5 breaks in 10 games in that last set!
I don't know much about Schiavone but any low price on Dementieva is dangerous with her serving! |

I see Kuzentosova is favourite for this game which is a bit of a suprise, great value on Jankovic in my opinion at 2.18.
Even if she doesn't win I see her getting close enough for the odds to get much lower than that! |

Guccione to beat Stepanek @ 2.50, the ATP's resident wormologist is looking weary this week coming off a tiring week in San Jose, he almost lost to Serra which would have been a poor result by his standards on indoor courts and has withdrawn from the doubles. On the other hand, Guccione looks like he's on fire, when he's in the zone his serve is truly unbreakable, just imagine a left-handed Karlovic. He didn't drop a single point on 1st serve against Johansson (26/26) and I don't see a tired Stepanek being able to get much of a chance on this giant Aussie's serve. I can definitely see Gucci winning this one and these are great odds.
GL to everyone in here today |

Hi guys,
following pick for today:
WTA TOUR, ACAPULCO
PENNETTA TO D KANEPI @ 1.32 at Betfair
Pennetta is a top clay court player of 2008 so far winning the title in
Chile without dropping a set, including defeating kanepi by 6:3, 6:3 and
continuing her form in Acapulco (with 6:0 in sets). Kanepi is a good
player on faster surfaces but on clay she would be too inconsistent for
Pennetta.

JJ wins first set against Kuz, layed off for a free bet on her, hopefully she can do the business, she's definitely looking the part, although a bit frustrating to watch...she plays awesome rallies before hitting a sitter into the net! _________________ Corner vulture

happy with that! i had a very big bet on JJ and seeing all those breaks had me a bit worried but she pulled it off. layed if off for a nice green on both.
Kuz then wins the first 3 games of the next set so i've stuck half my profit back on JJ at just above evens.
Fancy it'll probably be 3 sets though. wuoldn't be suprised to see them level in this set again though.
Top WTA serving!
EDIT: Break back complete...Thanks girls |

thanks titan by the way for your tip on JJ giving me the confidence to go with my own thoughts!
backed at 2.18, then 3.3, layed off at 2.4 and 1.44 then rebacked in second set at 2.04. safely layed at 1.65 though, if only i'd waited too more gameS!!! |

1 set all as expected. 2.2 on JJ value now!
unfortunately i mistrated there. layed JJ at 1.22 when she went a break up but backed her at 1.47 when she got broken back.
Too many breaks to keep up with this at times!
i've got everything on JJ now as a free bet. an early break for her would be nice. Still fancy her to take it.
EDIT: BREAK FIRST GAME!!!
but...my 2.2 wasn't matched |

FF - just don't overtrade this one...should be plenty more swings but once you've locked in a decent profit, dont throw it away! I've levelled out now on both of them, a bit too volatile for me to get involved in again right now.
JJ dominating most of this but still a few too many UE's. _________________ Corner vulture

wise words titan!
i sure did overtrade! i made a small profit but as you know I shuold have made much more. i was confident on JJ and so was keen to back her, unfortunately she didn't have enough to come back from the final break.
exciting stuff mind!
after the losses i had on a couple of games yesterday the split profit would have been much nicer thuogh! |
