Hi guys,
2 bets for today:
ATP TOUR, HAMBURG
MONTANES TO D FISH @ 1.42 at Pinnacle
Fish just can't play on clay. Montanes is a solid clay court specialist.
WTA TOUR, ROME
RUANO PASCUAL TO D RODIONOVA @ 2.3 at Expekt
No reason to why Rodionova should be a favorite in this match. Ruano Pascual is still a good clay court player, while doubles specialist Rodionova does not like playing at clay at all.

Andy Murray v Giles Simon - Simon @ 3.4 (Betfair)
Who on earth is backing Andy Murray on clay at 1.45???
This year he's won 4 games (and lost 4) on clay, one of which the player retired while 1 set all. His career stats on clay read 10 wins and 15 losses.
Simon on the other hand has won 3 (lost 3 though retired in 1 of them) his overall record is 59 wins to 43 losses on clay though, much stronger than murrays.
In their only game against each other Simon beat Murray on Clay last year (Rome).
The other factor I feel may come into this is the noise and support. Anyone who's watched Murray will know how ratty he can get when there is any kind of noise or movement from the crowd.
Anyone who's watched the main courts in Hamburg this week will know how noisey they are even at the quitest of times when everyone is settled.
Finally on the noise front French man Bennetau had a huge support today from the French fans who were shouting and singing his name between points, this will really bug murray to no end and if you could bet unders/overs on number of swearing warnings he gets i'd most definately be overs!!! Murray will be rattled and frustrated and will have no easy task against Giles |

Murray to beat Nadal.
Not impressed with Nadal today. He really struggled against Starace. And Staraces shot selection was really poor. But when he went to the drop shot he caused Nadal alot of problems. Murray's dropshot is his signature shot and the clay is playing quite quickly so will suit his game. Murray was very impressive against Simon. If both players play the same as they did today then I expect Murray to come out on top
5/1, 12/1 2-0 |

Hamburg
Juan Monaco outright @ 70
Small bet on Monaco outright, 40+ at the moment. Been waiting for him to do something, and has a chance here. Was impressive today casting Bolelli aside, has the beating of Seppi and probably Davydenko to reach the semis. Probably face Ferrer or (a still vulnerable) Federer for a place in the final. 40+ seems too big, regardless of is it comes in or not.
Safin to beat Moya @ 1.7
Good price here. Neither are in top form, but Moya has looked so vulnerable at times. I took Moya on with Benneteau a couple days ago and it went to 3 sets, Benneteau should've won, but Moya held on. Feel Safin has a good shot of ending Moya's tournament here, and he has the better recent form.
Lay Federer to beat Soderling 2-0 @ 1.46
Not going too big on this. H2H is 5-0, completed sets is 9-1, both to Federer. 5 of those sets went to tie breakers though, and with Federer not looking at his best still, Soderling can at least take a set here. Would still expect Federer to win, but at the price, 2-0 is worth a Lay. |

loving monaco outright betking, great value IMO and will probably trade a fair bit lower if he reaches the semi's - due to meet davydenko in the QF's, federer in the semi's, nadal/djokovic in the finals.
monaco has been very impressive so far, incredibly consistent in rallies. _________________ Corner vulture

He is doing more than upset him Mana. Agreed with Betking about Monaco for a cheeky punt on the outright - watching some of the points today reminds me why I don't bother much with him in the betting ring. Great for a couple days and outright shocking today.
Still, you never know.
