Grass Courts... Love it!

going for a couple girls, a dbl...

AMANMURAD. A. (UZB) to win 2-0 2.25

This is one big bit of a girl! she only has a serve to rely on, so ideal for tennis

KERBER A. (GER) to win 2-0 2.375 Win
Kerber double bageled poutckova last year at same tourney... cant see much reason for a change

Equally a dbl on both pays nicely for a win, 1.66 & 1.57

I also think Andreas Beck @ 3.0 in front of home german crowd is a good punt Win

An outright bet to start us off:

This looks a decent price on roddick. He missed the French Open in order to prepare for the grass which is cleary his best surface. He returns to Queens Club as defending champ and the two players shorter than him in the market both went very deep into the French Open and probably wont be at full fitness/focus this week. Roddick is very very effective on grass, his Wimbledon record is exemplary and I make him a favourite against almost anyone on the surface with just Federer and POSSIBLY a 100% focused Djokovic favoured to beat him. 11/2 looks like a super price as long as he isnt still troubled by the shoulder injury that forced him out of the French. However, I suspect the clay hating Roddick wouldnt have to be THAT hurt to pull out of there.

3 pts Roddick to win Artois Championship at 11/2

16:00 Denis Gremelmayr vs Benjamin Becker
Denis Gremelmayr (To Win Match) @ 2.1
I dont know that much but just reading i feel like gremelmayr is bit of value here despite his 3set lose to becker in 2000 on this seasons form he has every chance here.

Naomi Cavaday v Jill Craybas
Massive looking price on Naomi here. British players always overperform in these grass court events and Naomi has the perfect game for grass. I can see her coming through this one

2 pts on Naomi Cavaday at 3.25 Win

Joshua Goodall v Lleyton Hewitt

Hewitt hasnt played a great deal of tennis this year and isnt really the most consistent anymore. Josh has a chance on grass against anyone due to having a very big serve and weighty groundstrokes. Worth a shot as outsider

1pt on Joshua Goodall at 12/1 (20s on Betfair) Lose

Alex Bogdanovic v Joseph Sirianni

Boggo is a fantastic grass court player. He has to defend 2 wins here from last year and hes been given the perfect opportunity by drawing a qualifier. I can see him coming through this without too much trouble.

5pts on Alex Bogdanovic at 1.53 Lose

Melanie South vs Anna Fitzpatrick

Mel South looks a very safe bet here. Fitzpatrick has had some decent doubles success this year but regularly struggles badly against players ranked a LOT lower than Mel South in singles. Mel is a class or three above her and will win this in fairly comfortable straight sets imo

5 pts on 2-0 South at 1.83 Win

Jonas Bjorkman vs Igor Kunitsyn

Bjorkman is a top quality grass court player, and although hes getting on a bit he should definitely still have too much for Kunitsyn.

4pts on Bjorkman at 1.53 Win

Good luck everyone and thank the lord the grasscourt season is here. Say goodbye to that horrid clay

Also look on Roddick to win wis championship:

If we look on Novak and Nadal, who set on first two places to win outrigt... Nadal alwais play bad in London / Queen's Club, after win on RG, and after it show great skills on Wimbledon. Novak terrific in this season, but still not show great skills on grass at all. Roddick draw not bad, he easy go to semi-finals where more possible play vs Ivo Karlovic (Nadal suppose to not go to semis, just as in previous years, its just training before Wimbledon for him i think, and he not want lose all fitness before) who may be bad opponent for him, becouse Ivo play awesome netpoints and his style serve-and-volley good for grass, but karlovic very bad on baseline rally, and there A-Rod may get advantage. After that he may play Djokovic or Nalbandian or Hewitt. Djokovic or Nalbandian not look as bad opponents for Andy, and bad variant is Lleyton Hewitt. Hewitt have bif grass skills and expirience, not smaller then Andy, and have same titles on this tourney. But.. he not play really well in this season, and i still think chances on Andy higher.. They one only match on grass was on this tourney in 2004, Andy win 7-6(7) 6-3. Also win last two matches on Hard.

Lleyton Hewitt Singles titles, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2006

Andy Roddick Singles titles, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007

Andy win this tourney last year, its good motivation for him. His advantage vs other players also in big time for rest (he not played on Roland Garros).

Jonas Bjorkman to beat Igor Kunitsyn @ 1.56

Jonas Bjorkman is a decent player on grass and he usually has good runs in tournaments in England. He won the ATP in Nottingham in 2002 and reached the final in 2007. He was beaten easily in the French Open first round last week but last year he was 7-3 on grass last season and career he is 33-15. His opponent Igor Kunitsyn usually plays in the challengers events but he is a poor player on grass and last season he was 1-4 on the surface. Career is 9-13 on grass and I expect him to lose his 14th game on grass to the Swede today.

Profitable day, only real disappointment was with my trusting of Boggo. He had so many chances to break and didn't take any then invariably was broken next game.

Today outsiders:

1 Arnaud Clement.. 2.00
2 Simone Bolelli.. 2.62
3 Steve Darcis.. 1.90

Treble Pays 10.0

Clement definitely the better on grass and bigger serve. NAP of the day!
Bolelli did ok on grass last year and I think with his big serve he will get through. dancevic does ok on grass but is by no means a good player. getting good odds for good player
Darcis a bit of a risk but had done well on grass as a junior so taking him for that

Also Anne Koevanthang or whatever she's called at 2.375 good value

12:30 Andreas Seppi vs Arnaud Clement
Andreas Seppi (To Win Match) @ 1.72
Seppi may not be all at home on the grass here, but clemnets had such a poor season it really is a game he has to be winning hes got height to attack the net and cause clement bother.

15:30 Paul Henri Mathieu vs Marin Cilic
Marin Cilic (To Win Match) @ 2
Lost to mathieu twice this season, but this faster surface grass will play into cilics hands who has always looked better on faster surfaces, matheius a bit of clay courter and doesnt always look at home on this surface, and cilic got bit more of grass game andv worth a punt here.

Loooads of bets for me today, I love the grass court season. Here's the tips that will make us all loads of money:

Andreas Seppi vs Arnaud Clement

I think Seppi is a worthy favourite here and worth a bet. Clement has looked woefully out of form recently and Seppi, despite not favouring a grass court as such, does still have enough decent grass court form in the book and, I believe, the right weapons to beat Clement in straight sets. 2 years ago Seppi reached the semis at Nottingham beating Murray and Wawrinka on the way and I can see him having a decent grass court season again.

5 pts Seppi to win at 1.77 WON

Melanie South vs Sybille Bammer

Mel South is a live outsider here. Bammers ranking is on the downgrade and shes far from the player she was a couple of years ago imo. South has a big serve and a decent game for grass. The price looks a little big

2pts Mel South to win at 3.5 WON

Daniel Evans vs Xavier Malisse

Dan Evans is probably 2 or 3 years away from being able to make proper use of this wildcard. Hes a very very talented guy though and it will be interesting to see if he can take advantage if the X-man doesnt turn up, as so frequently happens. Evans is 2 or 3 inches too short which means he doesnt have a massive serve but its still good enough to get by and pretty impressive for his size. His forehand is probably his biggest weapon and hes very quick about the court. Im going to take a small punt on him overcoming Malisse today and showing his talent to the world.

1pt Dan Evans to win at 9 LOST

Mario Ancic vs Fernando Verdasco

This price looks big, Ancic is a top 5 grass courter imo. Looked a little rusty at times yesterday but his service stats in the end were impressive. Cant see Verdasco coming close to him here.

5pts Ancic to win at 1.4 WON

Michaella Krajicek vs Tatiana Poutchek

Krajicek has a very solid chance here. Her game measures up very well to grass. She has a very big serve and should beat Poutchek if the rest of her game is up to scratch today

4pts Krajicek to win at 2 WON

Fernando Gonzalez vs Richard Bloomfield

Bloomfield can sneak at least a set here. He has a massive serve and on the grass, he should be able to hold quite a lot and take advantage when Gonzo has one of his dips.

.75 pt Gonzo to win 2-1 at 4.33 LOST
.75 pt Bloomers to win at 5.5 LOST

Paul Henri Mathieu vs Marin Cilic

Cilic has all the weapons to have a great grass court game. Last year, he looked to have that potential but was a little uncomfortable on the surface. I think this year, with an extra years experience under his belt and a little better knowledge of how to use his game, he will have a storming grass court season and should overwhelm Mathieu today.

3 pts Cilic to win at 2 LOST

Feliciano Lopez vs Nicolas Mahut

Lopez looks a decent price here. Mahut had a great run at Queens last year and has a decent enough serve and volley game that is suited to grass. However, I simply dont see him as the favourite here. Lopez has proved on numerous occassions that he is a quality grass court player with a few top quality perormances at Wimbledon. I make Lopez favourite here.

2.5 pts Lopez to win at 2.1 LOST

Edouard Roger Vasselin vs Mardy Fish

Fish should blow ERV away today. His big serve and heavy groundstrokes will be way too much for the clay loving Roger Vasselin

4 pts on 2-0 Fish at 1.66 WON

Good luck to everyone today!

Gone for a little acca

Kevin Anderson to beat John Isner

Anderson went to a final of a grass tournament last week and currently in major events he is 8-4 this season. Isner is 5-9 in major events this season and has played just 1 grass match in his proffesional career. these two have met once before, this season Anderson won in straight sets.

Andy Murray to beat Sebastian Grosjean

Grosjean is not the player he use to be on grass and could struggle against the young legs of Murray who will relish a chance to play on grass again and he didnt play badly in the French Open.

Fernando Gonzalez to beat Richard Bloomfield

Gonzalez had a decent run in the French Open losing eventually to Roger Federer 3-1. In Major events this season he is 21-6 and is not a bad grass player, although not top class he should have enough to beat Bloomfield who has not played in any top events this season.

Sam Querrey to beat Olivier Patience

Queerey had bad luck in the French Open after he was drawn to face Roger Federer but he will welcome a return to grass and I think he has a decent chance of winning this event. He had a decent run in Monte Carlo a few weeks ago and he is well above his opponent in the rankings, Patience is 2-7 in major events this season.

The acca pays 2.81 which is decent value in my opinion Win
