Mercedes Cup 1st Rd (red clay)
Korolev 51% 2.88 (-Commision, Betfair) v. Del Potro
Russian has played better tennis lately on clay and he likes the surface. 2.88 is good price and worth trying. |

I would have to stick with Mahut to win the Campbell's event in Newport. I think he is a pretty decent player on grass, was unlucky to lose in 5 sets in the first round of Wimbledon to Tursunov, but I think in 3 set grass affairs he shows his best form. The price on offer is pretty fair, but I cannot really see him being challenged en-route to the final apart from in his second round match against probably Simon Stadler, who managed to oust Karlovic in the first round of Wimbledon.
Karlovic is well worth avoiding on Clay in Gstaad, I wouldn't be too sure about Wawrinka either, given his ability I would rather look towards P-H Mathieu for the title @ 9/1, or even the under-rated Martin Vassallo-Arguello @ 28/1.
And from the others, I would problably go for Monfils in Bastad as I feel that "The Flying Man" best performs on Clay, and Nadal will win in Stuttgart, but take Almagro E/W _________________ Top Football Tipster June 2006

| Almagro does look a great e/w bet in stuttgart seeing as he is in the other half of the draw to nadal. He had a few nice runs earlier in the clay court tournaments and I would expect him to reach the final. I don't know why but I have a sneaky feeling that nadal may pull out, we'll soon see.... |

I can't see Nadal pulling out and giving away 250 ranking points in the process in all honesty, especially if he wants to make number 1 and after last nights victory, if he maintains his standard of form, i.e. doesn't drop points between now and the US Open, then he could become world number 1 with a appearance in the final at Flushing Meadows, or even an appearance in the semi-finals with a good run in Cincinnati and Canada.
Pulling out of this event will leave him needing to win the US, so I can't see him doing it in all honesty. Looks pretty decent at the price offered to win the tournament though _________________ Top Football Tipster June 2006

to get to number 1 last night he would have needed Federer to get knocked out in the quarter finals and for him to win it. He is number 1 in the Race rankings, but the criteria for that is different from the main rankings, i.e. the one's which are used by pundits and Internationally. _________________ Top Football Tipster June 2006

Some bets on today from my blog, seems like from necessary tournaments
(08/07 16:00) Kevin Anderson vs Gilles Muller : Kevin Anderson Win @ 1.50
Two big guys with big serves.
Anderson: height: 201 cm, weight: 89 kg
Muller: height: 195 cm, weight: 83 kg
Kevin Anderson have better stats on the grass and lose only to stronger players. Gilles not so good, must lose there by stats.
(08/07 17:30) Taylor Dent vs Frank Dancevic : Frank Dancevic to win 2 - 0 Win @ 1.66
Dent Taylor (647) dont play in tour already more than year. His level now very low, his first and only match in this season he lost to Mamiit Cecil (USA) [Q] (472) 32 year old.
Frank Dancevic very good on grass in this season, win title in Surbitonn, beat Nalbandian David [7] on Wimbledon.
Have better fitness and younger.
Must be straight sets win.
(08/07 14:15) Guillermo Coria vs Eduardo Schwank : Eduardo Schwank Win @ 1.36
Guillermo Coria have awful season, and for sure not in form to return on this tourney. Won only 3 matches from last 17 in last 360 days.
Eduardo Schwank must win this match. Have good season, younger and won 41 from 55.
(08/07 12:00) Carlos Berlocq vs Yuri Schukin : Carlos Berlocq Win @ 1.65
Schukin Yuri (156)
birthdate: 02.03.83, 25 r.
height: 182 cm
weight: 75 kg
Already old and overweighted.
H2H 1-1, Berlocq win last in the end of year 2007, straight sets. Berlocq have better season
(09/07 10:00) Marin Cilic vs Paul Henri Mathieu : Marin Cilic Win @ 2.75
Good value chances for Cilic, win last 2 matches vs Paul Henri Mathieu. They play only one match on clay, Cilic lost 2-6 6-4 3-6. So could win, i like this price.
(08/07 12:30) Marc Lopez vs Marat Safin : Marat Safin to win 2 - 0 Win @ 1.66
If Safin Marat (75) serious want get back, or close to top10, and will fight there on 100%, 2-0 easy result for him, vs low ranking Lopez Marc (173) |

Bet of the day for me is Zakopalova to beat Cohen-Aloro.
4-0 to Zak , three of these on clay, neither player currently in great form.
I fancy Zak to make it 5-0 h2h as she has the mental state of mind over Cohen-Aloro.
Zak wins 6-3, 6-2 |
