Each week there are several ATP and WTA events taking place around the world.

Instead of having a separate thread for each tournament, would it make more sense for a weekly thread to be created to incorporate all of them?

Perhaps begin a new thread each Monday - much in the same way that a daily thread is created for each Horse Racing Meeting taking place.

Anybody got any opinions/objections?

seems fine to me, this was done for a while but then it ended up going back to doing individual tournaments.

The only time individual tournaments are worth adding are when it's the opens or the Masters finals where there is a lot of talk before the tournament and obviously the tournaments (not the masters) are longer than a week.

i prefer having seperate ones makes it easy to read

Fair point Andz.

I made the suggestion partly because there are so many tournaments each week. I felt that it would be easier to read through one thread rather than say 5, that way you are less likely to miss any tips.

How about stating the tournament that your tip relates to when making it?

I am re-raising this issue, as I am personally finding it confusing having multiple threads for the same tournaments.

Can we have a serious discussion and agree once and for all whether we have either -

ONE WEEKLY THREAD FOR ALL TOURNAMENTS BEING HELD THAT WEEK

or

SEPARATE THREADS FOR EACH TOURNAMENT BEING HELD THAT WEEK.

My view is that it is easier to view everything in one place, plus you may only have one tip for a particular tournament and do not consider it worthwhile creating a new thread just for that one tip.

What does everyone else think?

Personally does not bother me either way, but maybe having them all in one place will be easier to look through them.

It doesn't really bother me but I do think it's "common sense" that before starting a new thread people should just check to see if there is already a thread for that week/tournament so we avoid thread duplication like we already have for this week before any matches have been played Laughing

I dont think "one thread epr tournament" is needed for these minor tournaments, as there's not enough activity.

Maybe 2 threads a week, one for the mens and one for the womens tournaments?

I do agree that one giant thread for everything is not working at all, so maybe the above is the best option?

Hadn't thought of that one Betking

I shall add it to the list of options for everyone to debate on -

Option 1. ONE weekly thread for ALL Tournaments

Option 2. ONE weekly thread for ALL ATP Tournaments and ONE weekly thread for ALL WTA Tournaments.

Option 3. ONE weekly thread for EACH Tournament being held that week.

I would suggest that Grand Slams had their own thread.

Any other suggestions/views?
