Simple couple to start off with :
Roger Federer to win Madrid Masters @ 5/2
Federer has won the US Open, and he's had the rest. These were the two most crucial elements in recovering his season after a hard summer, and he is going to be absolutely refreshed. Ignore the rumour that he was close to missing this, he wasn't. He is 100% ready and hungry. His draw is tough but every match is more than winnable, and at these odds, it's pure value.
Gilles Simon to win Madrid Masters @ 100/1 (E/W)
Great summer, tough autumn. But he relishes playing in tough fields against good opponents and this is an interesting draw. He likes the surface and, despite tiring losses to Schwank and Mahut, he would have won both if he'd have pushed on from the winning positions he held. He's saved something back for this week and Paris, and the odds are too tempting. |

Andreev @ 2.26 on Betfair.
A close match on paper, Andreev showed enough in Moscow to suggest retains ability at this late stage in the season, and just did not convert his chances.
A reproduction of the form he has shown in Davis Cup and US Open should see him through.
Anyone else have any nuggets of wisdom for todays matches. |

| For anyone that saw the Almagro tip kinda thing i do apoligize it was a terrible tip, lucky i made my tip of Bolelli to win before i saw how slow the court was otherwise i would have backed Almagro. |

"Gilles Simon to win Madrid Masters @ 100/1 (E/W)"
Lives on thanks to mug performance from Andreev at the line. I'm happy because i'm 4/4 for today (Simon, Bolelli, Cilic, Fish) |

now that i know the rules for posting on the tennis forum, i'll give you my selections for tomorrow.
needless to say fish won very easily and berdych looks to be in total control having won the first set 6-1.
The picks for tomorrow are as follows:
Robin Soderling to beat Florent Serra. Soderling made the final of Stockholm last week, before losing to David Nalbandian. He is clearly in good form, and Florent Serra is outmatched here. I've seen 1.22 offered at Betfair, which I would not hesitate to take.
Andy Murray is in the best form of his career at present, and while I have been reluctant to back him in the past, I feel 1.17 against Bolleli - who admittedly did a good job on Almagro today, is fair value at Betfair. |

(15/10 10:00) Gael Monfils vs Fernando Gonzalez : Gael Monfils Win @ 1.83
Gael Monfils already beat Gonza at Wien on last week. In straight sets. Most possible income in this match - another win for acrobatic afrofrenchman. Good value for this chances.
(15/10 10:00) David Nalbandian vs Tomas Berdych : David Nalbandian Win @ 1.70
David Nalbandian leads H2H 3-1.
Last match was at this Madrid Masters year ago. Nalba defend his title there, so this is very important match with big pressure for him. But he very healthy and as he said, his tennis on last week then he get title at Stockholm indoors was superb.
Tomas Berdych also make good progress on last weeks, beat Robredo, Roddick and Gonzalez at Tokyo (Japan Open) hard courts. He very tall and dangerous. Beat Delpo in final, but Delpo was in troubles with health, so its not something to calculated.
I bet on Nalbandian, cause he more expirienced and more suit this surface and this masters, as last year title prove.
(15/10 10:00) Jarkko Nieminen vs Juan Martin Del Potro : Juan Martin Del Potro Win @ 1.29
Absolutly no reasons for Delpo to not win this match. He leads 2-0 in H2H. Harshly beat Jarkko in Tokyo 6-1 6-3. Del Potro tennis universal for all surfaces and have all weapons for any situations. May be not perfect yet. But will be enough for Nieminen who show not very good stuff at last weeks.
About his toe injury on last week. I dont think its too big problem. He had enough days for this little trauma. In pre-Madrid interview he talk more about tiredness. But he was already ever more tired in Tokyo then beat Jarkko i think. He had days of rest before this Madrid. He motivated on this tourney, wanted his place to Shanghai, but not think too much about. Pretty calm, i like it.
(15/10 10:00) Marin Cilic vs Andrew Murray : Andrew Murray Win @ 1.28
Andrew Murray put good show yesterday in previous round match vs Bolelli. Beat him without chances. About Bolelli retire, i dont think there is many true in it. Medical man tell something to Andy with big smile in end of match. And Bolelli play doubles match just after match vs Murray. Just Andy was too good for continue.
Cilic wasnt his best vs Rochus, but still beat Verdasco. But Verdasco dont play best at this surface. Vs andy its must be another ballgame. |

David Nalbandian vs Tomas Berdych
Nalbandian H2H 3 - 1
Another close match to pick my way through.
Both players in form though i believe Berdych win in Tokyo form better, coupled with 85% service games won. Which i do like as a form guide.
I like Berdych and believe he will out gun Nalbandian.
Berdych to win in 3 sets. |

| only 1 pick for tomorrow - Del Potro to beat Niemenen, 1.24 Betfair. It's simply impossible to overlook Del Potro's remarkable recent form, and while Niemenen is a tough compteitor he simply hasn't the weapons to trouble the Argentinian here. |

Wawrinka - Kohlschreiber, Madrid masters, 15th October 2008
Well, where to start… As I supposed, German did well against “daddy” Moya. He earned me some money and i decided to thank him by backing him again. In my opinion Wawrinka is only the next stop on the way of train called Kohlschreiber - and I´m almost sure this stop won´t be his last for this week. There are no doubts, that Wawrinka is still very talented player with bright future, but anyway he can´t find his lost form. There are also some questions about his fitness - last week in Vienna he withdrew from the doubles match because of a neck injury. I think that German, with his big serve (which was definitely a strong point in his match against Moya), will ease in the third round a and face there next one of numerous Spanish players army on Madrid masters – Ferrer or Lopez.
Confidence – 6/10, medium bet, Odds – 1,751 at Pinnacle sports
David Nalbandian - Tomáš Berdych, Madrid masters, 15th October 2008
Yeeeaaaah, after whole year, it´s finally here! Berdych and Nalbandian are meeting each other again. Same week, same tournament, even the same arena. By beating Berdych in last years very tight match Nalbandian unlocked his door to Madrid masters title. But this year should be different. Both players are in blistering form. Nalbandian won Stockholm title last week, beating Soderling behind his own crowd, Berdych won title in Tokio two weeks ago. Berdych´s performance on this tournament was really devastating. He smashed Robredo and Gonzalez and then overpowered also big-servers Roddick and Del Potro. It seams, that Tomas is starting to unleash all that potential he has been hiding away for years. It looks very simple: Changing of the guards, David. You don´t think so? Ask Rainer Schuettler. Berdych demolished him 6:1 6:2 in just 53 minutes yesterday. This will be definitely the best match of this round, so don´t forget this time: 12:30 CET. Here comes the sweet revange!
Confidence: 6/10, Medium large bet, Odds: 2,32 at Pinnacle
The tripple of big-hitters, Madrid masters, 15th October 2008
And the very last preview for today. I called it "The triple of big hitters“, because it´s the accumulator type of bet, which consists of Del Potro & Tsonga & Roddick. Three of the biggest servers and most aggresive players in these days circuit. And who are they playing against? Poor Nieminen, powerless Robredo and laughable Granollers. Still not enough Spanish losts! More! Aggregate odds: 1,87 at Pinnacle sports, confidence – 7/10, Large bet
Good luck guys
