Hello - some of you may remember me, to others I will be a completely new poster.
Madrid is the penultimate Masters Series tournament of the season before the Masters Cup in Shanghai and as usual there are some decent bets to be found
Mardy Fish has been in decent form this year , and had a very good run in the US Open where he took a set from Rafael Nadal before succumbing in the quarter final.
Steve Darcis has come through qualifiers here, and although by no means a terrible player, is the level of opponent that Fish has been putting away consistently this year. The faster court won't hinder either player, although it's clearly Fish's favoured surface.
Fish 1.62 at Betfair is a price I will be backing.
Tomas Berdych has just come off an excellent tournament win in Tokyo, where he dug very deep to beat Andy Roddick in 3 sets in the semi final, before dispatching Juan Martin Del Potro with ease in the final. His confidence will be sky high, and although Rainer Scheuttler has caught a second wind in the second half of this season, he will be outgunned here.
Traditionally players who have not necessarily performed well in the first part of the season produce the goods in the later stages of the year, and I think Berdych falls into that category. He will have something to prove after underachieving for much of the year and at 1.24 at Betfair is a reasonable bet. |

Hi Milkshock,
Glad to have you back here. There have been a few changes since you were here last.
Can you please put future postings in either the Mens ATP, or Womens WTA weekly threads. You may like to cut n paste your tips into the relevant thread as well
Many thanks
There are a few brief guidelines contained in a "sticky" at the top of this Forum for users info.
Good luck for the future |

I am chilled. But there was a debate about this and we come to a conclusion and just to see someone break it within a day is quite annoying. Also when you come to the tennis forum do you not see the post for ATP tournaments commencing on 13th october? its not hard to see that and post your comments there rather than just making exactly the same thing in a different post, and before you question me and say it aint the same thing, it is because Madrid is only ATP tournament this week. |
