A lot of very low prices out there so IMHO it is a case of either waiting a while or looking for the value
one that caught my eye is
Davydenko v Daniel Evans
Davydenko has lost 5 from 7 in the first round at Wimbledon with only a 2nd round and a 4th round to his name on what clearly is his least favourite surface. He is playing the British youngester Daniel Evans who after his misdemeaner and subsequent exile from the LTA has really started to improve. He has done really well of late and is rising up the rankings quite qucikly. Davydenko has lost to some of the lesser names over the years at Wimbledon and this could be another early exit for him against a young Brit who will surely get a lot of support.
Daniel Evans @7.5 _________________ Always borrow money from a pessimist ..they don't expect it back |

Daniela Hantuchova v Laura Robson
Hantuchova hasn't got a great record at Wimbledon, furthest she has got is round 4. She has gone out in 1st and 2nd rounds 4 times out of 6.
Her opponent is last years Junior Wimbledown champion. Laura Robson, the crowd is going to be hitting every ball with her and she comes into this as a wild card. She's a strong girl and I think her power/determination could be too much for Hanuchova. Definitely worth a punt
Laura Robson @ 5.5
Another possible upset could be Karlovic v Lacko in the Mens. I don't rate Karlovic at all on grass, relies too much on his big serve. If the young Slovak can return well, a big scalp could be his in this one
Lacko @7.2

Might be easier to do "day" threads rather than "round" threads to avoid confusion, worked last year?
Anyway......
Sugiyama vs Schynder
I like Patty, but shes impossible to back at any give time. Anyway, Sugiyama has astonishingly lost 13 of her last 14 matches, even Patty has been more consistent than that. Bookies go around 1.90 the pair, so Schynder looks a decent shout for once? _________________ betking vs man o bong

for round one upsets (at least according to the betting) I like Serra to beat Kohlschreiber. Serra is currently 4.5
He beat Dudi Sela (rk 47) in round 1 and then took Novak Djokovic to 3 sets in round 2 at Halle. At Wimbledon last year, he took Seppi (rk 30 then) to 5 sets in round 2. A repeat of either of those could be good enough to see off Kohlschreiber. It is 1-1 between them, but interestingly, Serra beat Kohlschreiber at Wimbledon in 2007, experience which will not be lost on the frenchman. _________________ BLOG:

| Will try and post my selections in here tomorrow morning, I've already posted most of them up on my tipping page. Eyeing some nice prices, particularly like Muller to beat Soderling @ 7. Muller is made for GS tennis and Soderling could quite easily disappear back into mediocrity again after a stunning RG. |

Venus vs Voegele
Seing all 1º round games I choose this one; I know that Venus is very strong player on grass, with 5 titles at Wimbledon but this gonna be only the 10º tournament of the year; She lost in the 2º round at Australian Open and in the 3º at Roland Garros and she didn´t play at any grass tournament;
Voegele remember Wickmayer, but the belgium is a step forward; Same age, a lot potential a good record at all kind of surfaces; Last month won´s Nothingham title (beat wickmayer in 3 sets at Semis )and reach QF at Birmingham losing to Na Li; She´s a very agressive player, always opening angles but she must improve her service;
It won´t be easy but I will put a coin on Voegele |

I personally would prefer ONE thread for the Tournament. Worked alright for The Australian and French Open.
Anyway, here goes -
Schnyder to beat Sugiyama @ 11/10.
Sugiyama is coming to the end of her career now.
Schnyder not playing great, but should have suficient guile to get past this one. Can't understand why the bookies have made Sugiyama favourite.
Wozniak to beat Schiavone @ 8/15
Aleksandra Wozniak had a good tournament at Eastbourne last week, beating Kuznetsova in the opening round before losing to Wozniaki in the semi's. Expect her to continue that good form against the erratic Schiavone.
Dushevina to beat Cornet @ 8/13
Dushevina won the Junior event at Wimbledon a few years ago, beating Maria Sharapova in the final. Her career is very slowly going in the right direction now.
Cornet has a very poor serve, and is more at home on the clay.
Kvitova to beat Kirilenko @ 11/10
Kirilenko is having a bit of a nightmare at the moment, and is struggling to win any matches. Kvitova is more of a hard court player, but always worth betting against Kirilenko at the moment. |

Hi guys, first bet for the Wimbledon:
MINAR TO D M. GONZALEZ @ 1.42 on Betfair
For Maximo Gonzalez it will be his first grass court match ever.
Minar is a good attacking all around player with solid results on all
surfaces and a good record against clay court players. Even on hard court
I would say that Minar is a favorite. |

LU v FEDERER
Obviously not much value in this match as Federer likely to easily win
Ranked 64 v 2
LU struggles in first round matches in Grand Slams and with Federer on fire at the moment i can see a high number of breaks
Federers last 3 opening matches at Wimbledon are:
2008: 6-3 6-2 6-2 (-11)
2007: 6-3 6-2 6-4 (-9)
2006: 6-3 6-2 6-2 (-11)
Handicap betting has some value
Federer -9.5 @ 1.83
Think this is a good bet and hoping Federer comes out the blocks fast and Lu gets a bit star struck _________________ Blog: Over/Under 2.5 Goals | Using Stats | 175/308 57% | +18.97pts

Steve Darcis - Frank Dancevic
Tip: 2 Odd: 1.7
Dancevic should be more favourite here.
Both players seem to like playing on grass, surely the canadian has a typical serve and volley tennis, and if he get into a good day at serve, it is very hard to get broken by low ranking players here.
Darcis has won 2 matches at the Queen's, but he just played with claycourt players, to lose with Ferrero in three set, and if we look at all results he doesn't have a good form status. I don't believe he arrived here extremely fit for this appiontment, his two wins are determinated most for his weak opponents.
Dancevic looks surely more confortable, he reached semifinal last week losing from Tursunov.. he should be able to access to the next round without big problems. |
