In 2004, aged 14 years and 208 days, he became the youngest player to make a competitive maximum 147 break, beating the record set by Ronnie O’Sullivan in 1991.
Lets hope he avoids ending up like Ronnie.

I know where you're coming from Deano but I still think he'd have a had a good career if he matches O'Sullivans achievements. He's got all that money, won all them titles and is regarded as one of the most gifted players ever to pick up a cue. I wouldn't mind a smidgen of the talent O'Sullivan was blessed with!!!!!! |

| ROS to me hes probably the most natural magical player ever, just imagine what he would be with say Hendrys head ? And by end up i mean walking away from the game bascially with issues. |

Great effort by Judd, hope he has a good run in the Championships
from what i have read and heard a very talented young man and at 66/1 best price with Bet365 seems he is worth an small investment. _________________ Italian Old Master - Read the Kankeano v. Zagreb head 2 head Blog. The ONLY derby clash for season 2007/08!

29 April 2007
20:00 World Championship 2007
£25 EW Judd Trump @ 150/1
I watched this kid as a 10 and 11 year old knocking in regular century breaks. Hes also the youngest player ever to knock in a competitive 147 at 14 years 208 days in an under 16 event in leicester, he beat Ronnie Os record of 15 years 98 days. He may not win it this year, but he is a certainty for the future, he may become the youngest ever and 150/1 is worth an each-way punt for this years contest (if a bit short), he will rise very quickly |
Speculative i know but place this late on last year _________________ 6 Months Horse Racing Blogs

Which is the exact reason I can't understand why the bookies are offering Ding @ 6/1 second favourite..
He fell apart playing Ronnie in a final not long ago whats he going to do if he makes the latter stage against a "crowd favourite" |

agree with you mrdavie! I think a cool experianced head goes a long way in the World Championships, the likes of Hendry, Higgins,Doherty etc, but there is no doubt Ding is a class act though nerves did cost him against Ronnie.
Looking forward to when the action starts, still not made my mind up yet _________________ Italian Old Master - Read the Kankeano v. Zagreb head 2 head Blog. The ONLY derby clash for season 2007/08!

| weight of money as much as anything. hes won a few tournaments and pretty much plays the best snooker in most events. he melted a bit against ronnie but i reckon itll make him stronger. mightve seen a sports psychologist since then. |

| I'll have a better idea once I see the draw... but I feel you have to go with an experienced head like you say, someone who has been consistent in the longer format game. Your players like Hendry, Higgins, Doherty and Ebdon stand out to me as great bets... |

Could not agree with you more Dammo, but there are some great games to look forward to, Stephen Maguire v Joe Perry,Ronnie O'Sullivan v Ding Junhui and my personal favourite Steve Davis v John Parrott what a match that will be, may not be a classic snooker match but i bet the banter will be top class, and who will help Hazel Irvine in the BBC studio when that one`s on! _________________ Italian Old Master - Read the Kankeano v.
