Hi ivor121 Welcome to the forum Win

I know that Ronnie has been working hard recently with his coach Frank Adamson and looks in very good shape, intresting he didn't want to talk about any of it his interview after he beat Ding. There is still along way to go and Robertson or Day in the next round and possibly Mr Higgins in the quarters, but the tough draw should keep Ronnie on his toes for a while. I must admit I didn't want to back him outright before he played Ding, but I also think now he will go all the way.

Ebdon to reach the final is my other tip Fingers Crossed

6-3 to Mark Allen now, Ken will keep battling all the way, I think it is set up for a 10-9 finish in this match now.

Thanks for the welcolm Rads, so Mark Allen won you was nearly right with the scores its another top player out stephen hendry could be next hes behind 4-1 and Davids at the table with 51, theres some good players comming through now. Cant wait for the Robertson and Day match to see how they will fair against Ronnie. Smile

From what Ive seen so far I think Higgins is a cracking bet at 6/1 to win the title, his first 2 rounds he's played like a champion in waiting, and its too tempting to opt out of. Ronnie is always going to be an iffy bet, although he's still here from what I saw of the Robertson match he won it on a couple of mistakes by Robertson as well as a couple of bits of luck and yes there was some magic.

Higgins best bet from here I believe, should be able to get past O'Sullivan and make it into the semis and on to the final Fingers Crossed

the welshman stevens has been really impressive so far in his matches. he will be tested though when he comes up against one of the 'bigger' names and players but i fancy him to get to the final and play probably john higgins Win

I took Stevens e/w at 16/1 and Ronnie to win at 10/3 at the start of the tournament.

Stevens should finish off Murphy tomorrow afternoon and then win his semi-final against either Carter or Selby while Ronnie should get the better of Higgins tomorrow night before beating Maguire or Hamilton. He then faces Stevens in the final while I relax with a few beers and enjoy the game.

...now if only if were that easy. Cheeky Laughing

Well I got on Selby when he was beating Ebdon, not great odds (11). Am also on Higgins at 6-1. Which probably means Murphy will win it!

Anyhow, i am new to Betfair and was looking at possibly laying them at some point maybe and have a question (probably a stupid one to you guys).

If you Lay something, do you need to have the funds in your account to pay the losses?

if uve already backed them and want to Lay them subsequently u dont need further funds in yer account. if say uve backed selby with a tenner at 11 uve potentially got 110 to win, not worth laying him at moment cos hes only dropped to 8. im on him at 60 b4 tourny, didnt really expect him to win, was just a trade, but ill hold onto it most of it now. ive got a lovely book due to catching smurfy in running over 300 when he looked dead and buried. if u go to options on the market and select the what if it will let u see wot happens if u Lay at various amounts. try it.
