OLBG's sponsored Snooker player Mike King was due to play Joe Perry on Saturday in the 1st round of the Pro-am series at Prestatyn, North Wales, but Joe didn't turn up, so Mike had a walkover, Mike then had to play Matthew Couch, Mike went 2-0 up, but then Matthew had a 84 and 102 to go 3-2 up, Mike levelled at 3-3 but lost the deciding frame.

www.globalsnookercentre.co.uk has the full results for anyone intrested, but also part of Mike's match was filmed and you can watch it here http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5436334255861765798 Mike is the one with the T-Shirt with the OLBG logo on it. Mike wins this frame to level at 3-3.

Mike will be starting a blog soon so we can follow all of his results, He is away quite often so I will sometimes be updating it for him. Win

Mike will be playing in the 2nd Pro-am at Prestatyn at the end of the month here is the draw http://www.globalcuesportscentre.com/files/Results/2007-8/07-8-Pontins/2007-Pro-Am-2.htm

As you can he has to win a match 1st before playing Anthony Hamilton, but thats mike for you, always positive! Cheeky

Man o bong - Global Snooker Centre are filming some of the matches but it looks a bit of a lottery which ones get filmed, and only 1 frame or so of each match, but still its a good idea and gives everyone a chance.

Mike has started a blog now you can read about his results here http://www.online-betting-guide.co.uk/blogs/tipsters_MikeKing147

Mike King is in action again today at Prestatyn, he is playing at 10am against Emyr Humphries. (match 16) The full draw is here http://www.globalsnookercentre.co.uk/files/Results/2007-8/07-8-Pontins/2007-Pro-Am-2.htm and hopefully there should be live scoring later on.

Lets hope Kinger wins his 1st match and then have a chance to play the Sheriff of Pottingham (Anthony Hamilton)

The pick of the 1st round looks like match 49, Ken Doherty v Mark King, that should be a good one.

One of the most annoying things in Snooker is the dreaded "Kick". You do everything right, split the Reds, get yourself into a really good position to win the frame, then from nowhere you get a massive Kick in the balls!

Take a look at Mike here in the photo gallery from the 1st Pro-am, he is in the middle row 7th one down, below Joe Swail http://www.globalsnookercentre.co.uk/files/Results/2007-8/07-8-Pontins/2007-Pro-Am-Gallery.htm

Do you think he had a "Kick"? Laughing

Good news so far from Mike Very Happy

His 1st round opponent didn't turn up, He then had to play the winner of Lee Page v Anthony Hamilton, it turned out to be Lee Page because Hamilton also failed to show.

Anyway, Mike trailed by 59 points in the 1st frame, but cleared with 64 to win on the Black, he then went on to win the match 4-1 Win

He now has to play Fergal O'Brien at 12.45pm

I will update as soon as I hear anything.
