I'm in for taking evens on Ronnie in the final with a handicap of -6.5 frames. I think there's a distinct possibility that Ali Carter may get swamped today as O'Sullivan looks in a totally different class right now.

I'm normally a little cautious in backing Ronnie due to his dodgy temperament and being 3-0 and 4-1 down to Hendry in the semi final was the perfect time for him to lose it a little, but his response was to play the best snooker anyone has ever seen and as close to perfection as you're going to get.

O' Sullivan has been great all tournament, winning 10-5 against Liu Chuang, 13-7 against Williams and Liang Wenbo and that brilliant 17-6 against Hendry. The longer the match, the wider the margin of victory and he's just looking unstoppable.

I think Ali Carter simply has to capitalise on every chance he's given today. He's played so well to get to the final but with Ronnie in this sort of form if he doesn't grasp every opportunity, I think he'll be lucky to get into double figures.

Hi fastal72

I think that is probably the best bet for the final, Ronnie -6.5 frames is evens with Betfred which is pretty generous compared to the other bookies.

So, Ronnie would have to win 18-11 or better. I also think it could turn into the Ronnie O'Sullivan show today, They have met 8 times and Ronnie has won all 8, also its Carters 1st final ranking final.

Good Luck Win

Hi Rads

Yeah I took the even money with Ladbrokes and they've certainly seen some money for the bet as they are currently 1.72. For the neutrals I hope Carter makes a good show of things, but just can't see it myself.

Nearly 3 o'clock so we'll soon find out! All the best.

Ronnie wins 18-8 Win

Not a great final to be honest, I think Carter was shattered and struggled in his 1st final, but still he had a great 2 weeks and did himself proud.

I'm sure the Rocket will be back next year, lets hope stays focused like he has been in this tournament, great to watch when he is flying - Genius!

Very impressed with Liang Wenbo, will keep an eye out for him in the quailifers.

Cheers Win

Boring final, I didnt even even watch most of it, as the parts I did watch were disappointing.

Credit to Ronnie though, and thankfully this financially crippling tournament is over! Laughing
