m sure as always we will get the knockers coming out to have ther 2 bob on my beloved EELS and am sure that there is not going to be the preasure we had in 07.
With a good start to the trials and many players due to be itching to save there bums from being benched,
that we could be ready to see some new up and coming flesh in 08 after losing some good players.
This weeks trial sets us up to pluck the K.F.C Roosters who with out a doubt will miss there pin up boy C.Wing.
CAYLESS RETURN HIGHLIGHTS CHANGES FOR ROOSTERS TRIAL
Pirtek Parramatta Eels captain Nathan Cayless will make his long-awaited return from injury in Saturday's NRL trial match against the Roosters at Bluetongue Central Coast Stadium, Gosford.
Cayless is one of a number of changes made for the match with head coach Michael Hagan naming his strongest possible team.
Cayless, Luke Burt, Eric Grothe, and Fuifui Moimoi have all been named in the side after sitting out last Friday's opening trial against the Panthers in Albury.
Hagan said the skipper is back to full fitness after a pectoral muscle tear in late 2007 and will be an asset ahead of the start of the season proper.
"Nathan's worked very hard on his rehab and conditioning and now we're keen for him to test out the injury in a match situation," Hagan said.
"We expect he'll play as many minutes as he can manage this week so come round one he's good to go, and the same goes for Luke Burt after his knee injury.
"Having players back is a good position to be in given this is our final trial before the start of the season.
"The team is as close to full strength as possible, everyone who is fit will play.
"It also means the players will have to step up because we'll be looking to settle on our best 17 after this match."
Cayless said he's looking forward to getting back on the park.
"When you get an injury late in the season the off-season seems that much longer," Cayless said.
"It's been tough getting back to full fitness but now I'm there I can't wait to get into it.
"It's going to be a good test both personally and also from a team perspective, we all know the Roosters have recruited well in the off season and even though this is a trial I'm sure it'll be as close to NRL intensity as possible."
The match kicks off at 7pm and will follow a Toyota Cup trial between the Eels and Roosters, which starts at 5.30.

Smith's return is still in doubt
TIM Smith has been declared medically fit to make his NRL comeback but remains in danger of missing the Centenary season opener.
The Parramatta ace is just one of more than $5 million worth of NRL playing talent at risk of watching the season kick-off from the sidelines.
Despite the much anticipated return to competition, the NRL opening round will be devoid of some of the game's biggest names.
More than 30 NRL players will be unavailable for selection including Melbourne's Greg Inglis, North Queensland's Johnathan Thurston (shoulder), Penrith's Luke Lewis (hand) and the Warriors' Wade McKinnon (knee).
Smith, the former NRL rookie of the year, returned to contact training for the first time last week following a complete shoulder reconstruction.
He met with his surgeon to confirm the shoulder joint had fully mended before being unleashed back into full training.
However, despite a series of wrestling and tackling drills this week, Smith is no certainty to return in the Eels clash with the Bulldogs, with coach Michael Hagan contemplating erring on the side of caution.
"There's no denying Timmy's hunger to get back on the field against the Dogs," Eels conditioning coach Hayden Knowles said.
"But Hages is also fully aware it's a long season and missing the first game won't do any harm in the long-term for Tim."
It's also believed the trial form of Parramatta's manufactured halves-pairing of Brett Finch and Feleti Mateo is making Hagan lean towards resting Smith.
Hagan will make his final decision this weekend. |

TIP OF THE WEEK ROUND 2
PARRAMATTA 13+
Not long till kick off today and i think that we can get up by 13+.
Will be good to see how well we have got off the mark and expect to see the eels play safe for the first half if trailing.
I do think that we are game ready and should prove to strong in the run home.
Eric Grothe and Luke Burt for first try Parramatta
P.S i will just be investing on this game this week SKY |

Hi bunji long time no speak i have had more success on NRL than i have on super league which is odd when im actually from England
Sharks v Panthers
Im amazed that the Sharks are 2nd in the table having only scored 67 points in their 5 games this season, they must be superb in defence and a low scoring game here is more than likely.
Im going with Penrith +8 10/11 due to Cronulla not been a high scoing team and also Under 42.5 points 10/11. _________________ 2nd Overall Copa America Challenge 2007 |
