well done those on tonga +21, must have been sweating at the end. tonga only cleared the handicap becaues wilkinson missed some relatively straightforward kicks. however, although i hate to say it england will be going home anyway. the austrailians could run riot.
fancy scotland -5 to beat italy tomorrow the italians still have not hit top form and the scots should have enough. if the are gonna win it should be by more than 5. _________________ top rugby tipster april 2007 |

| beware of wales v fiji on the handicap.these are two very unpredictable sides.but they both like to throw the ball around and they are both prone to making the odd mistake which the other could take advantage of.you could get +20 on fiji but on their day wales could cover that easily.i think that the standout bet on this game is 6 tries or more @ 6/5 with Stan James, at least with that bet you don't care who scores them!!!!i also think that colin charvis @3/1 to score anytime may be worth a little wager,he has an uncanny nack of being in the right place at the right time. anyway best of luck with all your bets |

| Wow, terrible tipping on the Scotland game guys. Scotland were lucky to win the game at all, never mind cover a 5 point hcap. Do any of you actually watch rugby? I thought I might find some shrewdies in here but obviously not. |

skybluesam,
I suggest you drop that attitude ASAP. Bashing peoples tips is a very bad idea, and extremely rude. _________________ Red Bull gives you wings.
Stoke and Hull better stock up on Red Bull then, as its the only way they'll get off the floor next season..... |

skybluesam, sorry, i must have missed your winning tips?!?!?! can't seem to find your write-up on the italians with the handicap?! or in fact any tips at all on the thread.
why are you scouring the threads for a tip if you know better anyway? AND if you actually watched the scotland match, the italians were rubbish, they deserved to lose by much more that what they did. no invention, desperation kicks and wasting posession. scotland disappointingly just did what they had to.
my advice to you is if you are going to bet, form an opinion yourself, then check the forum and post why you agree or disagree. don't write rubbish after a result has happened.
onto tomorrow; argentina -3 to beat ireland looks a cracker. i guess everyone knows the irish situation and what they need to go through. however the argies will not roll over. i expect them to not let up. given the irish have struggled under pressure already, i cannot see them getting the desired result. moreso given the strength and gameplans we have come to expect from the pumas. bear in mind argentina will want the victory to avoid the allblacks, and this should reflect their attitude to the game. _________________ top rugby tipster april 2007 |

| ireland v argentina looks a tough one to call.can't see either team running away with this one.you can get 6/1 on ireland to win by 1-5 pts and 11/2 on argentina to do likewise, maybe a combo bet on these 2 and a saver on the draw @ 20/1 is the way to go.happy betting. |

certainly have bluewonder.
austrailia and new zealand -12 each in a double the french blew it on the first day losing to the argentines. although they have steamrolled the weaker teams in their pool, it is too little too late. the all blacks have been cantering, no-one has pushed them into 5th gear yet, so what will happen when the french give it to them? i reckon they will show dominance and ruthlessness. the french may be forced to chase the game playing from deep and this could be the downfall. the all blacks are not a side who will run down the clock, they will go for points until the hooter. the -12 looks generous.
as for england, well this will be a close game with both probably exchanging penalties for the majority, but as for tries it looks like only one side are confident of scoring them (i.e. the aussies). england have improved rapidly (however against tiring sides), but have they improved enough? i don't think so, robinson or not.
scotland +17 v argentina the argies were awesome against ireland after the first 20. this will be different though, as scotland will kick the penalties rather than go for touch like ireland had to do. this looks a close game, win at all costs, and although the argies should win it will be safety first all the way through. the scots laboured over italy, however that scare may have given them enough of a shock to buck their ideas up. as i say, argentin will probably win, however it may be by less than 17 given the nature of knockout rugby.
south africa -32 to beat fiji boks gave a run out to the big boys in dismantling usa, however they looked a little sloppy, it was obvious that it was a meaningless game. even so, they won by 49 points and scored some wonderful tries without the usual rolling the pack over the whitewash. adding the expansive ball movement gives the boks more balance, and given their power in the scrum and at set pieces they are looking in very good shape. although fiji were too good for wales, they still conceded lots of points, and with the power and finesse of south africa and their defence too i cannot see them going close. fiji are renowned for opening up the game and running the ball, but the boks will lap it up and take full advantage. _________________ top rugby tipster april 2007 |

I agree with topnotch and mathew above that australia and new zealand -12 @1.9 or so is generous. Differences in this match will be greater so something like aus -25.5 @ 3.65 (value checker) may also be wise to bet.
Also I agree that argentine and south africa will prevail.
I think that 17 is a handicap that unprobably arg will cover tough elimination character of the match may do that a slight defeat turns into a high score defeat since the looser at a given time of the 2nd. half will take any risks to turn over the result.
The case is different with Fiji , as they are "comfortable" reaching quaters they will defend tight independently of the score. Though s.africa is a great team their result with unsuspected Tonga may be the correct antecedent for the score against fiji. Also if they fill enough forward in the score s.africa may probably make changes to preserve players for next match. Till now I think that s.africa will not cover the 32 handicap.
good luck _________________ tipstonga

For the weekend, the Aussies @-12 looks great. All over the pitch, the Aussies are simply better than us. Also, the Farrell injury means that we will be lightwight through the centre, with a slow back row to cover tackle. This would leave Barkley/Catt v Giteau and Tait v Mortlock.
This means two world class, established centres v lightweight and ineffectiv international centres. I think the Aussies role by at least 20, as England will concede penalties all day agianst the quality of the Aussie back row.
NZ v France - staying away from this. France have the knack of turning up when it matters but have also lost the last nine against the AB's. The sensible bet would be AB's by the 12 but this is France and unpredictibility is the nature of their game. Also, the French side looks to me to be a side to play a la Argies v France. Kicking deep and often and attempting to force Sivi and Roko to kick the ball back. A territorial, kicking game with forward dominated, 10 man rugby can lead to low scores. Equally, NZ have th best broken field runners in the business and may run everything back and win by 50..... |
