Having been looking thru the markets on this game i have never seen so many diff offers and prices, I reckon we should between us be able to scour all the markets and come up with a winner or two and some cracking value.
I will start off with England at 5/2 with Boylesports
seems to be the best price.
And Stan James have half time being a draw at 14/1, seems a bit high to me.
Any way i am not the greatest rugby expert so would be interested in any value bets available. |

Im tempted to Lay off my England bets
had a few quid when we went out to 50-1 when we were playing awful.
Couldn't beleive my luck past few days
However i really think its going to be tall ask of our boys.
On the other hand odds have really been nothing to go on with some of the results we've had lately,
VC have got quite a few specials im interested in so have a browse... |

hate to be a doom monger, but betting has to transcend any patriotism. i think the 5/2 on england is too low by a fair way. i think this will be close but the boks have everything in all departments. i wrote in august that if anyone can challenge the allblacks to the title it would be south africa. england have heart, commitment and agression, but they do not have POINTS in them. they haven't looked like scoring a try from open play or on the counter attack based on skillful handling and passing throughout this tournament, moreso against good sides. they have the defence, but can they hold the boks and win on 'penalties'. I HOPE SO WITH MY HEART but my head says south africa have the defence and the strike players. i hope i am wrong and england can do it, they have the attitude and the power, and i think they are mentally stronger than the boks, but have they got the finesse to cross the try line? i dont think so at the moment, and the boks can take advantage if they hold a lead, thus beating the -8 handicap (which i will reluctantly back). once again hope i am wrong _________________ top rugby tipster april 2007 |

I agree that England @ 5/2 holds no value.
One patriotic bet which does take my eye is 20/1 that England win and the last scoring play is a Wilkinson drop goal. The only way I feel England can win is to keep it tight and have Jonny kick for goal late on, so I may have a fun bet on this. _________________ The only dedicated snooker betting blog on OLBG! -> CLick here |

I agree with your sentiments topnotch,my heart wants England to win as im sure most of us do,but when it comes to betting you ve got to be realistic.England have gone further than a lot of people expected, and for that they have to be commended true bulldog spirit has got them to the final.South Africa have done it with a bit more ease and class sorry to say and i think you are better off looking for a bet away from who will win because of the value.England must start well and continue for 80 mins but will be under great pressure from the Springboks the whole game, unfortunately i dont think they will have enough skill to beat South Africa,i will of course be cheering them on in hope you never know but i cant see past a South Africa win.
Good Luck to the whole squad they ve given English sport something to be proud of _________________ M.C.F.C. BORN AND BRED |

i' m on for England +8,50 handicap @1,90.
I think match will be so close, and England got many chance to don't loose by many pts. i think that with an 8,50 margin i got a 70% chance to hit it. _________________ NBA Playoffs 2007 record: 9W 1L |

| If anyone fancys England they are around 9/4 but they can be backed at 3/1 with Bet 365 for a margin of 1-12 points, i dont see it being a high scoring game and this looks better value. Come on England |

Personally I couldn't bet on a game like this. My head says SA all day, my heart says England all day. How would I feel if I'd piled in on a SA win and England won....I'd feel even worse if I'd backed England and SA won!!!!
Being English, my advice for all fello countrymen is to take a deep breath and enjoy the game. These occasions occur too few times to worry about making money on them. Just remember the game and the feeling of exuberation if we do it. The feeling will not occur many more times in your lifetime.
Swing low, sweet chariot
Coming for to carry me home

Totally agree with Keano here! No bet for me! Just going to sit back and watch and enjoy the occasion. Just dont want to be thinking about any bets! I think beating Australia and France were great bonuses in a tournament that most experts didnt give England a hope in hell of winning, so its the pub and a few beers for me to cheer the lads on.
I think the game is a tough one to call in any case, given the unpredictability of this World Cup anything can happen. Can we win it? Of course we can! Gotta believe haven't you?! |

I have to agree that backing England @5/2 to turnaround a 36-0 slaughter is no value at all.
I managed to pick the two finalists so my screen is kermit coloured No more bets for me in this market, I shall sit back with a smile and enjoy the action. As KK says - Swing Low ........
PS - Anyone remember the fun this English team gave us 4 years ago? I do Although my memory of how I got home from the bar that afternoon is a little less sharp |
