france to beat argentina -11 points i dont know who will be more disappointed, the french losing in their own back yard to us in a close and hard fought game that could have swung either way, or the argies who chose the semi final to indulge in a personal knock-on-athon and a poor attempt to start trying to throw the ball around gifting the boks elementary interceptions. what i am pretty sure of though is the french HAVE to be motivated for this match given they are the hosts, and the argies looked on the last legs in the semi's.
the french can play to their strengths here and expand the play given this is relatively meaningless. the argies strengths were good chase and hard work, but will they find the intensity that got them so far? i can't see it, and i see them getting a french backlash who should play to their strengths and score tries, running the ball. the 11 looks short of what i feel the french cans core and as such looks a good bet. _________________ top rugby tipster april 2007 |

wow - that was a strange game. I took the smaller risk of france at -7 handicap, after they went 3-0 up I thought it would be boring and flicked over to the tennis...a few minutes later, it's somehow 17-3?!
Weird world cup, I'd be surprised if there weren't a few twists and turns tomorrow!
Thanks for the write-up topnotch |

apologies about that. the french should have scored 3 tries in the first 15 minutes but then things went belly up. this world cup has been bonkers. hope england can do the same to the handicap tomorrow. _________________ top rugby tipster april 2007 |
