I watched parts of the first half of England/Wales and was expecting England to run away with it in the second half. Turned back and Wales had just scored to take the lead, then heard the commentators saying about how poor England had been in the second half. What happened?? Did they bottle it? Madness. _________________ The only dedicated snooker betting blog on OLBG! -> Click here |

Englands second half performance was dreadful, we looked tired - no leadership - we seem to just loose our way.
Just found out I have tickets for Cardiff next saturday.
Wales v Scotland - don't support any but the atmosphere will be great. so much better than at football. _________________ Winner of January '08 Racing Challenge |

Are the feeds down in the tipping contest?
Scotland +4.5 @1.72
France -4.5 @2.00
Are the best prices shown (from Bet365) but there are much better prices around. Scotland +5.5 can be had @1.91 if you shop around.
To be honest I was looking for even better than that so will swerve in the contest and with the real stuff.
Bets still running:
Wales outright now 5.30 (backed @11.00)
England outright now 7.00 (layed @3.30) |

I am going with the handicaps again this week
Scotland made a lot of mistakes against France and the score flattered them, I could see a shock win for Scotland here, but will take them on the handicap at +9. Wales were terrible in the first half against England, which Wales will turn up
Ireland at +13 against France, France have made more changes, and as per above I feel they cantered to win on the back of Scotlands mistakes, if, and it is a BIG if, the real Ireland turn up, I can see an Irish win. Reputations and carrers are on the line at this stage..... IMO a big Irish effort
Italy at +13 againt England, two reasons, England are missing a lot of players including their 2 props, and have picked Balshaw at full back, unbelievable selection.... Italy can make hay, also no penetration in the English midfield with a light weight centres, Italy's discipline is much better...
A weekend of shock IMO |

Wales to beat Scotland is a pretty poor price but I think Wales will be far too good for them.
Also fancy Ireland +12.5 against France, the reasons on my blog. |

Those canny old bookies have the Welsh -9.50 handicap spot on in my view, and theres no great value pre-match.
RECENT RESULTS
2007: Scotland 21-9 Wales
2006: Wales 28-18 Scotland
2005: Scotland 22-46 Wales
2004: Wales 23-10 Scotland
2003: Scotland 30-22 Wales
2002: Wales 22-27 Scotland
2001: Scotland 28-28 Wales
2000: Wales 26-18 Scotland
But, as pointed out by others, the Welsh did start very poorly against England losing lots of lineouts. I do think France were flatterred by the scoreline against the Scots. So maybe Scotland +9.50 will trade well below its current 1.97 in-play. I have Wales outright so I will swerve that one. I have had the price of a pint on draw/Wales @26.00 - stupid fun bet perhaps but we could see a tight first half.
Good luck with your selections this weekend |

Im gutted to say the least, backed France -12 today and when they were up by 20 points in the 2nd half i thought my bet was pretty much won but then it all went wrong, the irish pack suddenly woke up and just dominated everything.
We learned alot from the game tho to be honest and i believe Wales have the 6 nations well within reach now _________________ 2nd Overall Copa America Challenge 2007 |

Italy +13.5 today
I said last week that Italy are a real up and coming side and I was proven when they held a very poor Ireland side to a 16-11 loss. Italy do struggle in the backs department but if their power pack can use their advantage and win the team some penalties then they have a good chance of even winning this game in my opinion. England have lost 5 players to injury and are also missing Phil Vickery who was a big loss to them when he was taken off last week. Italy have improved their performances against England every year they have gone from losing 80-23 in 2001 to only 20-7 with England scoring one try in 2007. Italy at home will be hard and they will give England a very tough match. |
