Leeds v Saints
Clash of the big 2,Leeds have by their standards struggled the last couple of weeks.Saints however are coming in to tis off a 10 match winning streak, and are the form team of the super league at the moment.Handicap is saying -4 for Leeds, the one thing that worries me for Saints is their lack of experience on the bench.Fozzard,Flannery,Cayless and Bennett all out. That for me could tip it Leeds way.Home advantage, will play a big part and im going with Leeds and -4,on the assumption Saints bench isnt as strong, but it will be close.
Catalans v Warrington
Both sides going well of late, the change of coach has done Wires the world of good.Catalans still proving to be the surprise package but worthy of their position at the top.Again -4 for Cats and +4 for Wires.they dont lose many at home Catalans, but im tempted by the +4 for Wires, they seem to be getting it together again, and will want to add to their recent victorys another close contest though with Wires edging it for me.
HullKR v Wakefield
Again im tempted by the +4 on offer for Wakefield, its a hard week this week for predictions and this game could go either way, thats why im going for the +4 both sides are a bit up and down but the experience in the Wakefield side can tip it in their favour. Its an important game for both teams on the fringes of the top 6.Wakefield for me.
Castleford v Wigan
Wigan -12,Cas are a hard physical side and will give Wigan a game, but Wigan are a better side, gave a good account of themselves last week,in France, and will want to bounce back.Cas are becoming the whipping boys and i expect Wigan to add to their woes.
Huddersfield v Harlequins
Harlequins +4 for me again their recent form reads better than Huddersfield who are themselves struggling to put any kind of a run together. My botw Quins to win, simple as that.
Bradford v Hull
Hull +6 looks very tempting playing a Bulls side in dissaray, and both teams have developed a bad habit of starting well and fading in the second 40.Both have injury worries, both are struggling, both are on a poor run of form, and i think it could be Hulls big chance to get 2 valuable points Bradford are desperate and it could be their downfall.Go for a Hull victory.
Again Good Luck with your bets _________________ M.C.F.C. BORN AND BRED |

andy1965,
Glad I left it till today as I fancied Leeds to St Helens yesterday. I have got a bit of disagreeing with you this week
Catalans v Warrington has to be a win with -4 for Catalans for me they just look too good at the moment and keep getting result after result
Hull KR v Wakefield, Hull KR for me and with more than the -4. I believe they are just going to be too strong at home for Wakefield. they have had a couple of losses in recent weeks but they can get back on the bike again with a comfortable win.
Cas v Wigan I don't like this at all.. 2 of Castleford's 3 wins have come against Leeds at home and St Helens at home will Wigan become the 3rd scalp. I know the two victories were earlier on in the season and they have had home losses to Hull Bradford and Wakefield since but i just don't like it but if I was forced to bet on this would take the Hcp +12 with Cas.
Huddersfield v Quins again another I don't like and I think you said it all Quins with the better form at the moment
Bradford v Hull - Bradford are in dissary as you say but Hull are only just starting to get it together and Bradford must arrest this slide and i take them to do it against Hull maybe not by the -6 but a fancy it will be a couple either side of the -6
I am taking Catalans and Hull KR on the Hcp this week.
Hope your bets go well Andy |

Hear what your saying with the Leeds result, itcan only get better!!!.I said Saints were the in form team and that proved to be the case last night,i know Leeds went down to 12 men in the second half with Scrutton getting sent off,but i dont think it would have changed the result.Leeds need to dig deep now they are looking vulnerable,Saints on the other hand as the saying goes,Go Marching On. _________________ M.C.F.C. Why aren't matches only 70 mins???
That is 2 or 3 weeks now my bets have looked good only for them to implode in the last 10-15mins, fair play to Wakefield and especially Brad Drew who turned it around when he came on but I could have done without the 4 tries in 11 mins. AH well there is always next week. |
