Things are slowly improving here at OLBG Poker; yet another impressive turnout with 29 superheroes turning up for duty, we welcomed a few more new members by the name of superwomble and burfoot aswell as welcoming back Slendergal now AKA gudgirl; it seems as though you all had a whipround before the game and decided to donate all your pocket aces to uncle woody, many thanks and much obliged!
I managed to win last nights main event with a little help from the pocket ace fairy who sprinkled magic dust up my nose and made all the colours look sparkly and tingly. I plan on trying to repeat the feat but as I well know, it's blooming hard to even make the top 3 nowadays let alone win back to back titles. Anyway, it feels good just to get on the 2008 leaderboard!
Gooner is arguably our form player of 2008, she's started off the year with a string of useful performances, last night she forged ahead with a very solid showing in the main event and also performed well in all the STT's in the after party; she now sits at the top of the 2008 leaderboard and will take some stopping if last night was anything to go by. Very well played Gooner
Infact the whole Gruffe family gave a good account of themselves last night, Gruffe, the current champion, squeezed his way into the money after having finished 4th on a few occasions this year; I really don't feel that 6 points is truly indicative of this years performances so far and you can expect to see him cruise up the leaderboard towrds his sister as the season progresses. Nicely done Gruffe
Many thanks to all who played in the main event and after party
The OLBG Poker leaderboard has been updated
Thursdays tournament is open for registration, support the cause! _________________ Don't worry, we've got Neil Warnock! |

Well done woody and cheers for the game fellow players, it was an enjoyable game apart from the end!
I had a few annoying moments though. Apart from the obvious - finishing 5th after my allin with A8 got crushed by KJ (I think)! - there were these 3:
1 - If only 1 more player (or was it 2?) had registered I'd have cashed!
2 - I got dealt AA once all game. I was BB, everyone folded to me. Doh!
3 - I was 89s in SB, called, BB checked. Flop was 888. Checked, so did BB. Checked turn, surely BB will stick a bet in. Nope. Bet about half pot on river, BB folded. Doh!
Hopefully I'll get to play again soon. Have a 7 month old daughter though so don't play anywhere near as much as I like.
Cheers again |

I must apologise if i said anything out of line last night, i had had a few too many drinks and know that i did speak out of turn to one person in particular. (i have no memory of doing it so may have said somethin inappropriate to some one else too, i dunno?).
So if i did say anything to offend anyone please accept my apologies _________________ 6 Months Horse Racing Blogs

It's just not good enough MOB, from now on you will be breathalised before you enter the OLBG Poker Den, if found over the limit you will have to buy us all a drink and apologise for your naughty behaviour forevermore.
Seriously though, nice one for saying something, let's leave it at that unless someone wants to contact you in private _________________ Don't worry, we've got Neil Warnock! |
