A casual turnout to get the weekend started properly with 20 superheroes replying to their e-invite to be collected by the OLBG jet plane, at one point we thought a mermaid had joined our crew but then we realised it was just Hollywood who stank of fish.
Congrats to The Wish for winning last nights main event and giving us all a little taste of what's to come; Wish has become one of the regular players now and he is certainly forging a name for himself, he put in a number of decent performances at the back end of last year, culminating in four wins, two silver medals and a bronze for good measure, these were the first points of the year for him but going by his record there is still plenty to come from this one! Superb play Wish
Manobong has been knocking at the door recently but last night he chose to kick it down, turn it iinto firewood and make a burning effigy as a peace offering to the poker gods; they smiled upon his efforts and granted him access into the holy trinity! One of the areas I would expect to see further improvement in is his shorthanded game, this being so, I can envisage congratulating MOB for winning the main event before long. Top notch play MOB
Last but never least, Bonak Shed got his name down on the leaderboard after yet another solid display of poker skills; don't forget that Bonak was the only challenger who looked to have a chance of catching Gruffe for the 2007 title, so it will certainly come as no surprise to see him make a similar challenge this year, watch this space! Nicely done Mr B
Many thanks to all who played in the main event and after party
The OLBG Poker leaderboard has been updated
Mondays tournament is open for registration, support the cause! _________________ Don't worry, we've got Neil Warnock! |

well done to the triumphant three of Wish, MOB and Bonak for filling the top slots Thursday.
I have said it before but even getting to the final table is a challenge these days
Sadly i wont be able to join the merry band this week as things are a bit hectic in the Zaggy household with the move getting ever nearer, but the best of luck to all tonight _________________ Italian Old Master - Read the Kankeano v. Looking forward to the game again tonight. If I nod off during the game then give me a virtual poke in the ribs.
If I don't cash out tonight then I'll have to deposit more cash....
Best of luck everyone. |
