14 superheroes sat round the OLBG Poker campfire singing showboat tunes and roasting marshmellows over an open fire, we played spin the bottle and Holly got dared to have a bath, he rose to the challenge but strangely enough he smells worse now than he did before. We spent the rest of the night burying him neck deep in mud, his face still smells though, I'm tempted to put a bucket on it and leave him there.

| ...he is the highest placed superhero to not have won a main event this year, but sitting in 4th place with more points than multiple 2008 title winners, it's surely only a matter of time before we get the pleasure of congratulating him on his first main event win. |
Congrats to Fozy for winning last nights main event, a few weeks back BetWoody predicted that we would be congratulating this superhero into the winners enclosure and Fozy has duly obliged by treating us all to another one of his rock solid performances. BetWoody now predict further wins in the not too distant future, such has been the consistency of his play. Top notch play Fozy
Gruffe continues to make slow and steady progress as he build up a head of steam, he has now cashed 4 times out of the last 10 tournaments and I'm certain the next 10 tournaments will see him progress even further, watch this space. Superb play Gruffe
TheGame has'nt played with us for a while, but yesterday he made a highly successful reappearence, he may not have cashed in the main event since December 2006 but his last 12 appearences have seen him make the money on 5 occasions, so if you see his name on the teamsheet, underestimate him at your peril! Nice done TG
Many thanks to all who played in the main event and after party
The OLBG Poker leaderboard has been updated
Mondays tournament is open for registration, support the cause! _________________ Don't worry, we've got Neil Warnock! |

From Klipko:

| Do you plan any 5 card draw OLBG tournaments in the nearest future? |
There are'nt any plans for a 5 card draw tournament Klipko, but we can open the idea up to the rest of the poker crew and if there's sufficient interest (more than 5) I'm sure we can sort something out.
Well I will put my hand up in favour of a 5 card draw tournament, what say ye the rest of the crew? _________________ Don't worry, we've got Neil Warnock! |

As 5 card draw was the game I was introduced to by my dad when I was 6 I wouldn't mind. Haven't played that format much at all over past 3 years but sure it would come back to me.
Congrats to Fozy on you're win last night and to G and The Game for their places.
And to Woody I'm most impressed about your record keeping! I'd hate to see the stats you have on me filed away on your computer! |
