what are the chances eh! not even 1 run!!!
These Australia games always seem to progress very quickly, nearly layed the draw pre match but decided to go for Australia instead, lucky they recovered after a poor start but could be a tight game. |

day 2, and sharma and RP singh have started off. Honestly dont think this is the way to go against Lee and Symonds, I think that Lee in particular has a weakness against Kumble.
Will wait until the spinners come on then will back india at 25+.
EDIT: on second thought, a bit of uncertainty surrounding the weather (accuweather says considerable showers in the next few days) so i'll probably avoid backing india unless they really start to soar. but i dont think i'll be backing them at all if aus get much more than 450. _________________ Corner vulture

I have just started watching the game now non Sopcast(P2P TV) I cant believe Brett Lee is on 50, Australia are 415/7 and he's just hit a 4(Lee that is) _________________ China Open 2008 Snooker Challenge Runner Up |

lee batted very well, but johnson also managed quick runs. they didnt start off with the spinners, which was the wrong move, but there were some more dodgy umpiring decisions this morning.
australia 463 all out, india not quite out of it but would need something special to get back in it. scoring quickly will be the main point of action here as there aren't too many demons in the pitch for the pacers to exploit.
had a tenner on india at 40's just for a bit of interest but with uncertainty about the weather, not really sure about any other potential moves at this point in time.
aus 1.47
india 32
draw 3.4
not really been much change in the prices today, except india drifting from 20's after a poor start from the pacers. _________________ Corner vulture

hmmm india still at high odds, surely the value is with them?
i reckon they'll get close to australia's total or maybe even a lead, and end up chasing considerably under 300 in the 4th innings.
draw is odds-on because of the weather concerns, reached a low of 1.5 during day 2.
really dont see how india are 17/1 shots if australia are at 2.5 _________________ Corner vulture

well, now this match is taking shape - i'm only involved in a small way but potential for huge gains given india's huge odds. i'm backing the draw in the first session, with a view to Lay off at about 1.6. _________________ Corner vulture

| 8/1 for India to win are crazy odds. Taking a small stake on them. |

interestingly Betfair are taking odds an who will have a 1st innings lead
india are 8/5 with Betfair to better the aussies 463, at 216-3 this seems decent value to be seeing as yuvraj & dhoni are still to come. the pitch seems an excellent pitch.
aus are 2/5 to have a lead.
does anyone know of boookies that are taking bets on india total innings runs. if india make a good start then you could Lay agianst india total runs for a profit |

fantastic session to watch there, ganguly and tendulkar rolled back the years and really produced a vintage performance, thought they'd take the match away from australia (odds peaked at 4.8) but ganguly threw away his wicket and yuvraj was out in the penultimate over.
odds at end of session:
aus 2.7
draw 1.76
india 15
so odds have pretty much stayed the same.
i have small red on both aus and the draw, big green on india. reasonably happy with my position, plenty of spin achieved by hogg (bowled suprisingly well) and i think that harbhajan in particular will have a field day.
anybody got any ideas for strategies etc? _________________ Corner vulture
