no chance of them not getting 400 titan!

even having lost 2 big wickets this morning they still have a couple more decent batsman and the pace they are putting the runs on is outstanding.

average of 4.5 runs an over in a test match is very very good! or very bad if your a West Indies bowler!

Not having Bravo makes a big difference to the Windies attack, one of their best bowlers and he's had an impact in the previous matches. you know what's wrong with him?

Dammo have you got anything on this game, spreads on SA's runs?

at the moment I'd expect them to be hitting 500 by the end of the day unless the West Indies can get at least a couple of wickets before tea.

I don't see them needing much more than to ensure a victory however they will probably play out tomorrow morning if they're still going strong which should give them a big enough lead so that they won't need to bat again.

im already in and out on runs market, sold when spread hit just over 500. not sure if they need to bat on til 540ish which is current spread level. smith isnt that proactive a captain so he may bat on for the definite innings victory. really they should declare tonight and get at them. windies are unmotivated again so they could easily lose wickets fairly easily with good bowling.

with the lead they've already got I think West Indies may only just catch up so come the end of the day they'll have a lead that Windies will get no where near.

Kallis gone now but he got out trying to push the run rate on even more, Prince still going strong and De villiers is no slouch either.

Word is that Smith may declare tonight....would be an aggressive move to allow 10-15 overs for them to try and play out the new ball.

Only way WI can salvage something out of this is if Smith makes a conservative declaration (maybe tomorrow morning), and then WI manage to bat out day 3.

Bad weather is forecast for days 4 and 5, so I may consider having a punt on the draw, depending on what the situation is. Should be a walkover though really.

even with the bad weather they should still be able to get 2 days worth of bowling at them if necessary even with bad weather.

suprised they haven't declared yet though now de villiers is lining up for the 100 they'll have to wait till he gets it I suppose!

I'd think they'd like to get to bowl at West Indies for at least a few overs tonight as the light goes they might get a good chance for a wicket or 2.

then again there's no clouds in the sky with only 15 more overs to play anyway the light might not really be an issue and if that's the case they might as well play the day out.

that's what I hope anyway!

tomorrow is expected to be clear

Sunday 30% chance of rain, Monday 90% chance.

so play might not even be interupted on Sunday.

23/0 at the close, impressive display from the openers, showed good technique and played quite confidently.

Crucially, they've seen some shine off the ball, and there also wasn't much swing after the first couple of overs. If WI can string some partnerships together and keep their heads, it will be interesting to see the draw price come in.

they've got to back for the best part of 3 days though, well i'd say they need to bat all of tomorrow and at least till tea on Sunday and then it could be down to the weather on Monday and how much of a lead should they manage to get a ldea they get!
