WI bat & Chanderpaul back.
PaddyPower offer 5/6 under & over 230.5. decent bating pitch apparently but not sure if SA are going to skittle the WI over. |

With Windies batting firs their decent value back early on.
I've not considered backing them in any of the other one dayers but in this game which is a day nighter so SA will be batting under flood lights you've got to fancy the team batting first to have a good chance.
4.4 I backed Windies at and they've now made a good start though SA have bowled well they haven't got any wickets.
Windies in a resonable position though will obviously need to pick up the run rate at some point. |

oops just seen this thread....batting under lights won't be easy, 275 should be Windies' game to lose, 250 will be a tough chase as well.
Anything less than 250 and SA should chase with ease.
106/2 off 26, I'm on WI with Samuels and Chanderpaul in. _________________ Corner vulture

yeah West Indies have blown it here.
5 overs to go and there down to their last wicket for 206.
unless they can hold it together with the tails to get a few runs their going to really struggle.
I was amazed at how little the Windies price dropped while they were going strong, clearly not much confidence in anything after the one good partnership!
Good to see a couple of fresh faces having such a good opening partnership though.
still in with a chance at the moment though, but there going to have to bowl very well early on. As we've seen in the previous matched the Windies have 2 maybe 3 decent bowlers, once the the other bowlers come in it's been carnage.
If they can take some wickets early on they'll have a decent chance but it's a tough ask. |

wi making it a bit more interesting now.
these 2 guys have saved my bacon had money on over on 231, 238 & 245. i had pretty much taken it as a loss.
well done you two
this could be interesting. stats are very biased towards the team batting 1st but the pitch looks in good shape. wi lost their wickets they weren't bowled out. |

well, the tables have turned!!!
263/9, don't ask me how they made that!
should be some great trading opps now, chasing under lights at durban is never easy.
feel really sorry for ntini, was world-class only a year ago.
thought i'd blown it laying another short fav today but it's game on now, hopefully _________________ Corner vulture

well i'll be damned.
Taylor and Edwards have only gone and done it!
A whopping 53 runs from the final 5 overs on their last wicket just when they'd seemed doomed.
at the start of the partnership the West Indies odds were in the 9's, they are now down to 3.0!
The total of 263 leaves them with a real chance of winning this game. |

titan I saw you mention the hope of 11 runs from the final over, you couldn' thave dreamt they'd make 24!
I'm tempted to trade out now as I wuold make a nice profit but with the losses from this morning fresh in my memory I'm keen to take a little more.
I think the West Indies could well win this game but the question is, trade out now at 3.1 and reback in a bit or leave?
How do you think West Indies will fare early on? As I said before they generally bowl well early on so it might be worth waiting and laying after a wicket. |

yep, managed to back 250+ at 20's earlier on, this series has been really good for innings runs, WI tail has wagged a fair bit beyond reasonable expectations. Only for a few quid though, didn't get fully matched.
I was tempted to red out at 1.17 but took a huge risk and let it ride in the hope of early wickets...at 1.47 now, I'm closing it for tiny green on either side. My main worry is that a few edges from the openers, and we have 20/0 off a few overs...obviously the market loves SA far too much for its own good so the odds will plummet, maybe in the 1.3x range.
So I'm levelling out right now, because WI bowlers can be awesome, but they can also be really profligate. I'm a lot more inclined to go back into the market when it becomes a bit more volatile towards the end of this SA innings.
what do you reckon FF? _________________ Corner vulture

I layed out a little at 3.05
and just layed out to all green at an impressive 2.74 after someone had eaten up all the 2.9's while i was placing my bet!
i'm now big profit on WI, small (as in £2) on SA.
I'm kind of hoping SA can drive the price back up over 3.3 in a couple of overs then i'll reback Windies again.
I don't think they're going to lose this one. |

good opening from the West Indies bowlers but it's what I expected, they will need to get wickets before the second rung of bowlers come in.
If they have no wickets in 5 or 6 overs time I may level out. |
